Found it in a book of "unusual" babies names. Derived from delight in some ancient language or another.

Can't claim any credit for mine. Used the same handle for years but thanks to Mavel comics most sites and bbs's already have one (or a hundred) so when a friend of mine based a character on me in one of his books and made up a name using the last three letters of my first name, the first three letters of my last name, my middle initial and it sounded kinda cool I decided to try it whenever my old handle was already taken. Now I use it most all the time because no one else ever uses it.
Sneaky Weasel on 17/8/2004 at 11:15
My Nick is quite simple to explain:
SNEAKY (adj)
1: marked by deception; "achieved success in business only by underhand methods" [syn: underhand, underhanded]
2: marked by quiet and caution and secrecy; taking pains to avoid being observed; "a furtive manner"; "a lurking prowler"; "a sneak attack"; "stealthy footsteps"; "a surreptitious glance at his watch"; "someone skulking in the shadows"
WEASEL
1: Any of various carnivorous mammals of the genus Mustela, having a long slender body, a long tail, short legs, and brownish fur that in many species turns white in winter.
2: A person regarded as sneaky or treacherous.
(And although I got the above definitions directly from an online dictionary, I didn't bother to check this out before I chose my nick! Talk about well chosen)

Briareos H on 17/8/2004 at 12:07
Well... Appleseed and Masamune Shirow anyone ?
I'm a.k.a. faëlnor on most other sites (I don't know why I registered as Bri here).
It's almost an anagram of my first name, and it sounds very elfic (Tolkien's way). I like it very much.
Aja on 17/8/2004 at 17:54
Aja is a Steely Dan album from the 70's, and also a song from that album. It happens to be one of my favourite songs, ever. btw, it's pronounced the same as 'Asia'.
Demandred on 17/8/2004 at 19:26
Demandred is one of the Forsaken in Robert Jordan´s Wheel of Time. I thought the sound of the name was really cool so I picked it. And he´s a really shadowy, elusive character which fits nicely with Thief.
Enthasius on 17/8/2004 at 21:52
Enthasius is the name of an old, demented mage in an old book I once read, obsessed with getting his deceased love back so he sends a bunch of adventurers to do it by sending them into deaths realm itself, who were after something vitally in deaths realm, so they had little choice in the deal. Anyway, after their success, she is returned to life, but she is in her twenties while he is around 100. She refuses to try to respark the relationship. There are more rules about her recovery than just bringing her back, though, as while dying isn't costly, bringing someone back to life isn't, and requires someone else makes the sacrifice.
One of the adventurers sacrificed himself, but with this knowledge, Enthasius uses his magics to change things, slaying himself in return for the adventurers life and leaving hos former love to live her own life again, to which she is genuinely grateful.
Anyway, I've been using the name for a long time, even being the name of my first ever D&D character, a halberd wielding fighter, and has been my first choice screenname ever since

Um, Skulker is actually the name of Juilin Sander's horse in the Wheel of Time books.
PS- I used it as my name in different things before I knew that, I just think it's a bit funny. Kind of like Indiana Jones being named after the dog.
PSS- I think Demandred is the most interesting of the Forsaken, besides perhaps Aran'gar and Ishamael.
