Good names are one of the best parts of forums. I'll often browse the indexes just to enjoy the creativity that goes into the names.
I'm who I am because I absolutely love when the guards call me a vile toad or a filthy weed and then threaten to tell their big brother on me.

Mine comes from a transliteration of a boyhood nick. Dhu in Gaelic means Black, hidden, secret, mysterious, or unknown as in outside the ken of man.
Glas from the same language means man. Dhu Glas was the nick.
It has become bastardized over the years to Douglas. Translated it means theBlackman. Or the solitary man, or the man of secrets.
Depending on how it is used it can have many meanings. Donal Dhu of old was Black Donal(d), or Donal the Black, meaning mean and viscious killer, or Donald with the black hair.
A short dirk hidden or carried out of sight in a boot, as the Scots and Irish used to do was called a Skean Dhu or "Hidden-secret-unseen" knife (Skean)

Mine is related to the sneaky way you play Thief. I wanted Shadow Creeper but someone (who had never even posted) had it....so Shadow Creepr it was.

Welllll.... to begin with, I have always been a fan of J. R. R. Tolkien's famous books, and 3 or so years ago I bought the Middle Earth Encyclopedia and read it. The love of my life (at the time, liked to cally me a 'swarthy man', and the entry in the index of the Encyclopedia titled 'Swarthy Men' pointed to a different entry entitled 'Easterling Men'. So I became Easterlingman. To my great dismay the love of my life ceased to be love of my life, but the name stuck, namely because nobody has ever used it before. At least not on the internet.

P.S. Blackman, according to people round here, the Skean Dhu was moved to the sock/boot specifically so it could be seen, out of politeness, and it had been carried in something not unlike a shoulder holster before then. Do a websearch for "Armpit Dagger" if you want more info on this version of the story.

No exciting story here: It's just the name of my character in Morrowind. I thought it looked somewhat "Dark Elvish". Don't ask me how to pronounce it, I don't know either :p
