I thought that Thiefsie Fool would be a little more original.

It's origin is not related to Thief:
Long ago, I had a fresh and a salt-water aquarium with some fish and wasn't sucessful in breeding them. I looked to soem pets, which could be breeded more easily. So I came to a couple of rats in a cage. Really sweet black and white rats. If you don't know them so well, rats can be very intelligent in learning (but also stupid in eating all you give them ...) The rest is a story of failed family planning: :eek: It ended up with many, I mean relly many rats (two times I sold 10 baby-rats)!
When I started my fist homepage, I looked for a funny picture and found somewhere a gif of a smiling rat (or mouse) and gave myself the name blackrat. From this time on it was my usually ID or nick. On this board blackrat was taken, so I had to use Black Rat.
The blackrat icon, you can see on my homepage and as background or as icon on other forums, is suprisingly also not related to Thief:
I found this pic last year on the internet. It's made by a semi-professional designer, who also sells pics. Whoo, it was so great when I found this pic, looking like made special for Blackrat & Thief!

I originally wanted to have the username z?, but there was already a Z and I didn't feel like being called a name thief, or have it misconstrued as a question about thier name, etc... so I chose Lain. If you've ever seen Serial Expiriments Lain, you'll understand why shes the perfect alias for anything internet related. For those of you who have not seen Lain, shes a demi-god of the internet. In a weird sort of way. But in any case, I like the name. ^_^

I'm a huge fan of metal music. Static-X happens to be one of my favorite bands. But I was into rap before metal and my friend went by the name Xstasy. I just put the two together and there you go... StaticXsasy.

heh, I have the DVDs and VHS of the whole series... ^_^; Only other anime series I've done that for is slayers.
