I didn't play it (beyond hazy memories of playing a demo), but I think it was acclaimed at the time for its squad mechanics?

It was by IO Interactive, the Hitman guys, and it was PRETTY SWELL. Yes, the fact that you could issue orders to your teammates was pretty cool at the time, but honestly I don't know if it really had a whole lot more going for it, beyond that. Wouldn't say it needed a sequel. Just play The Bureau or something, faetal. Now, games that NEED a sequel: Screamer 4x4! Best offroading game ever, and the only real modern game that lives up to it is SpinTires, which isn't even really an offroading game. There needs to be more good offroading games but APPARENTLY it's just me and the ruskies who GIVE A SHIT. Well maybe Shadowcat does too.

It was great fun, had a great Red Dawn vibe and the Jesper Kyd soundtrack was immense. Also, while it wasn't up to much in terms of cosmetics or immediate mechanics, it built over time and felt like the resolution of a conflict. Either way, just my opinion, but thank god there are people here to police it.

Jesper Kyd's an unsung video game soundtrack hero. That's just another tragedy (plus the fact that he isn't scoring Hitman any more). I thought the Hitman OSTs were good, but then I listened to the Assassin's Creed 2 soundtrack, and I was like, holy shit, whoa. The Darksiders 2 soundtrack had some stonking great pieces in there, too. Here's one of them:
