Yah I dunno, it looks okay. We'll see how Del Toro measures up to Lon Chaney Jr., but thank fucking Christ that they opted to do something like this rather than another Setphen Sommers videogame-esque shitfest. Also more Emily Blunt in films is always welcome.

That trailer is a typical yank trailer that TELLS YOU THE WHOLE DAMN STORY.
WTF do you guys need and do this? I swear all of the US has some sort of ADHD. I'm watching Battlestar Galactica atm and at the start of every episode there is a "previously on BSG" and then a "next on BSG" which is a bunch of clips from the episode you are about to watch and full of potential spoilers.
And then there are "scenes from the next episode" at the end!
This has bugged me for ages. I hate US trailers because of this. On DVDs with International/UK/European and US trailers as extras you can see this, this infantile inability to just go in with only an idea of the plot. It's so... puerile. Why? WHY? Does nothing excite you people anymore or are you just incredibly impatient? Honestly, I'm sick of it.
I know the entire plot of this film now and it would have been pretty interesting but will I see it at the cinema? pffft. When I already know what happens? Get out.
I don't get how M. Night Shyamalan was able to do business over there. Did he get some special restraining order on the preview makers or something?
For fraks sake.

According to Robert Zemeckis, most moviegoing audiences like to know exactly what's going to happen in a movie before they see it. Just think back to the big controversy with What Lies Beneath, where the director himself thought it a wonderful idea to reveal the climax of the movie in the last half of the trailer. Apparently everyone else thought it a great idea, too. It's been a pretty nasty trend ever since.

Luckily for me I only saw the What Lies Beneath stuff that gets over here, where some filter of intellect alters trailers and info so as to be less retardedly spoiled.

There were two things that Underworld had going for it: Kate B and Bill Nighy. The former doesn't do anything for me, I'm afraid, and even Bill Nighy isn't quite enough.
The rest is regurgitated crap IMO. You not only need to switch off your brain to enjoy it - an actual lobotomy may help.
