Rolling them back should be easy enough though right?

Sure, but why messing with my system if things are working great atm and the only problems I have are confirmed to be fixed with the next patch? Update, realize the new drivers suck and then roll back? I did it way to many times with nvidia. My system became more stable, and my gaming time more pleasant when I stopped that unhealthy practice. Now I update only when I'm convinced it's really necessary.

I always assumed it might be worth upgrading to game-specific drivers for performance increases. The ease of rolling back being a mitigating factor in the risk of getting worse performance.

If I was getting a bad performance I would have certainly updated but since it's working very well for a newly released game I have no reason to do so. I've read people are getting all kinds of problems, crashes etc, it might also be all those people update regularly...

Most of your XP will be gained through questing, not killing things, and most of your ability points will come from places of power, not levelling.
Yea I just realized ability points are gained from Places of Power and been exploring, almost uncovered all the map markers by now! But I am also hoarding the points since, being only level 3, I have just 2 ability slots and cant really add more powers now and not sure if I want to be upgrading the level 1s too much (tho I know I need to, to unlock higher tiers).

And I just realized that upgrading your ability points is useless unless you place them into ability slots! lol.

I'm on Windows 10 using the latest drivers, so I'm about as early adopter cutting edge as you can get. Performance has been excellent all around, though it has flaked out on me a couple of times. Strangely enough, it's almost always when I'm trying to exit the game. I'll save, hit exit, find myself on the desktop...and then it gets weird. Things will freeze up, then suddenly I'll hear music, and then I'll be back in the game again.
Like it's drawing me back in so it can crash on me.

Graham: It's the sense of touch. In any real city, you walk, you know? You brush past people, people bump into you. In L.A., nobody touches you. We're always behind this metal and glass. I think we miss that touch so much, that we crash into each other, just so we can feel something.(
