FYI, if you've bought any of the previous Witcher games on GOG, you get 5% off per game towards Witcher3. Tack on the preorder discount, and you can get the discount up to 20%.

Already got the Collector's Edition. Seriously, most of my friends right now are in "Is it May 19? No? Then fuck off" mode right now. Can't wait either.

I've got it sitting on my GOG shelf, but I can't play the damn thing. It's a giant tease is what it is.

Oooh, I haven't been following the side stuff all that much recently, I do like that there's a new comic book coming. The title makes it sound like they're using stuff from the 2013 interquel novel, which adds shapeshifting foxes to the roster.

Yes, this looks great. I need to get my butt in gear and finish Witcher 2 in the next couple of weeks. Did anyone else have issues with the difficulty in W2? I cruised right through Witcher 1 for the most part, but Witcher 2 kicked my ass to the point of quitting.
I did my first time through. This most recent attempt, though, hasn't been too bad. I think Dark Souls has helped me out here. It's trained me to be a little more patient and tactical when it comes to melee combat.

Tomasz Gop was impressed with Demon's Souls at the time of Witcher 2. I don't think he understood it all that well then, but yeah.

I could see that. The controls are a little too loose and spastic compared to the Souls games, but I'd say the general idea is about the same. I think the biggest problem is that they want to portray Geralt as a whirling dervish in battle, but couldn't quite get the gameplay to line up with that ideal.
Hopefully, this is something that's been fixed for Witcher 3. But even if it isn't that much different, it's not like the combat was terrible in the previous game. It's just...not as good as it could be.
