Edit: Just checked out the Ion Storm forums. Aparently Edios has decided to delay the demo for reasons unknown...at least thats what the current rumors are.

Yes, there's been rather a lot of speculation, rumour and contradictory information about the demo release. Latest word (from Chris Carollo at the ISA forum) is that there was a problem with the demo, but it was fixed, and the release is still on target (sometime today) Of course, "today" is rapidly expiring, and has already passed in much of the Eastern hemisphere. *shrug*

The demo has been released to Gamespy and should be out any time now. According to Krypt, one of the lead designers, they've had it for a couple of hours now but he's not too sure why they haven't actually made it available yet...
My guess is that they're prepping themselves for the huge bandwidth hit they get once they slap it on Fileplanet.
