Fuck zombies, I want Telltale to try something completely different. How about a legal drama? I reckon a 'big case' story with the trial spread over the episodes would be pretty interesting. Tension without death by QTE.

In that (
http://www.redbull.co.uk/cs/Satellite/en_UK/Article/The-Walking-Dead--Bringing-the-world-021243300828382) interview of theirs, they mentioned wanting to do a Star Wars game because they're ex-LucasArts. How about that, eh? QTE lightsaber battles! Whoah!
Ech. I hope not. Anyway, TWD2 can't retread old ground for fear of being staid and/or boring, which would be a terrible thing to happen, like a zombie apocalypse of mindless accountants that beat you to death with wallets stuffed with change.
I agree that continuity should be abandoned, because 'season' 1's arc ended on a pitch-perfect note of ambiguity, and leading on from there would destroy it. It's better to not know what happened next, because there's no way TT can continue that story without it feeling like a let-down and, inevitably, a betrayal of what season 1 built up. One idea I've been playing with would be to revisit the Everett family at ground zero just before the outbreak and have their own personal family drama unfold... a prequel, if you like. It could be just as compelling as the first season if it's executed right. But that's just me. In any case, can't wait to see what they're going to do next!

Or it could be about Clementine's parents! About their ordeals surviving and escaping Savannah, and then at the end after they've gotten over the loss of their daughter who must surely be dead by now, and having just escaped some zombie-inferno they'll be walking through a field at sunset, and...

I'm pretty sure Clem said she saw her parents in Episode 5, and they were dead.
Edit: Going over a video on Youtube now, I can confirm that, yeah. It was one of the more heartbreaking moments in there.

Oh hell. Forgot about that part.

Does the game have a lot of references to the show or the graphic novel?

Other than an early cameo from comic-universe Glenn, that's about it.

They should do the second one from a zombie's perspective. I mean sure, the dialogue options may be a little impenetrable to begin with, but I'm guessing that would ease up once the game found its rhythm and the player started thinking like a zombie.

I bought it on a whim during Christmas sales, and god damn I loved every bit of it. The narrative was excellent and while it was more of an interactive story than a real game, I enjoyed it. A lot of games get the "choose your destiny" style of gameplay horribly wrong with black and white options or choices that have no real meaning, but TWD nails it, I think.
And when you show Clementine the bite, goddamn. I had to choke back tears.
Can't wait for the next season. I only hope that instead of the "everything falls apart" sad story, we might get a happier one.

One detail that I found pretty weird: the zombies in The Walking Dead (the game) show what would seem to be pretty advanced signs of decomposition. Since Lee wasn't out of it for the first weeks of the zombie apocalypse, I'd expect fewer of the shambling corpses to look that bad already - unless they literally rose from the grave.
