(I'm guessing she was meant to be Scandinavian, but it was wonderful that it was never raised; you just accepted it).
I thought she was Belgian. I seem to remember her liking the fact that one of the other characters had been there.

I'm really behind the curve on this one (just completed episode one) but this is a seriously impressive series.
I can't help being reminded of the Jericho TV series - the isolation, loss of communication and general uncertainty about what's going on parallels what I've seen so far. I don't particularly like the QT events but so far they've been reasonably infrequent in their use.

I kinda lost interest halfway through episode 2. But last night I started it up again, finished that episode, and then played through all of episode 3 tonight. God damn that was good. Fantastic writing and characterisation. And I have to applaud the artists over there at Telltale, it looks amazing. The game engine really isn't anything special, it's quite poor in fact. Low-poly models, and barely any lighting. Yet thanks to the texture work and the cinematography it looks gorgeous.

Finished it tonight. That ending... Jesus. :(
Not sure how I'd rate it compared with the TV show. The show had plenty of "holy shit" moments, but it never quite put a lump in my throat the way the end of the game did. On the other hand, I do find the show much more consistently gripping. With the game there were weeks and days between when I played the episodes. And I found myself having to force myself to start the game up and play some more on several occasions because I knew I'd love it once I'd gotten started. With the show on the other hand I'd watch through entire seasons in a week. Probably not be a fair comparison though, as it feels like playing through an episode of the game takes more out of you. Especially this last one. Goddamn.
Eagerly anticipaing/dreading Season 2.

Decided to give the TV show another chance and glad I did. Series 1 was very so-so and I previously gave up after episode 1 of series 2 because it didn't seem to improve, but half way through series 2 - ka-VOOM. Right back in the game. Totally hooked now.
[EDIT] Henke, if the series isn't reducing you to sobs, my guess is you're not up to date with it.

Haven't gotten started on season 3 yet, and it's been a while since I saw the season 2. There certainly were scenes that left me with my jaw hanging open, such as when they open the barn doors. But I don't recall it having the same emotional impact that the end of the game did, no.

I'm 5 episodes in. Closest I've come to shedding tears in 6 years.

So me and my 15 yo daughter have watched the first 2 episodes, absolutely loving it, just watching one episode leaves you feeling kinda drained. What I wanted to ask was, without spoilers, is there anything in ep 3-5 that has material not suitable for under 18's? My daughter is pretty mature and the gore and stuff doesnt faze her, but I was wondering if there was any kind of sexual themes like rape and stuff? I dont want to read synopsis and spoil the story for me but I also dont want an unpleasant surprise.
