Just played all four episodes in a marathon session. Tried quitting after episode two; couldn't. Tried quitting after episode three; couldn't. Played until it was light outside again. What an addicting game, and more importantly, intelligent and human, and just superbly executed. An amazing game. I'm surprised there's not a lot of talk about it. Cannot wait for the fifth episode, and the second season.

And that's a wrap. I wish I could talk about it, but anything I say would reveal too much for people who haven't finished it yet. I will say I've never felt as large a lump in my throat at the end of a game until this.
I'd gift this to everyone if I could. Since I can't, though, I can help you make up your mind if you've been on the fence: stop straddling that thing, and jump over. The game's worth the $25, and it's on a 50% off sale right now.
Pull the trigger. It's one of 2012's best.

This is one that's overwhelmingly tempting to watch playthroughts. If I start one, it's hard to stop watching because the story draws me in. I have to finish DX:HR & clear some HD space before I get to any other game though. But this is on the list.

I started watching a walkthrough but within a minute I had to turn it off because I actually want to play it now, if only for atmosphere. :p

I can't stress this enough - you HAVE to play it. Unless someone has done branched YouTube vids (which really would be on a par with actually pirating the game IMO), you'll miss out on the game branching from your decisions, for better and (often) worse. It is the agony in these decisions which gives the game a lot of its emotional weight. The 5 episodes are more than worth the price.

Really nice set of games/interactive story. Finished 5 after playing the others on and off as they came out, but didn't feel as much an impact in late game as I was in the previous episodes. Maybe it's because I got used to seeing tragedy happen here and there. I think in 5 things happen a little bit too fast though, but it is the end episode and it is called "No time left". It's probably not as noticeable if you play from 1 to 5 in one sitting or one after the other, not having to wait for a month or more to start the next episode, but the pace of it is changed. Not a bad thing though and it does a good job wrapping up anything that might have been a loose end or such.
Anticipating the second season that will come out next year. Can't wait to see how things go. :)

Is there a way to skip or turn off the "next time on The Walking Dead" cutscenes?

I really enjoyed the series but I've got to say they dropped the ball a bit on the last 2 episodes. It was inevitable that after the events of episode 3 that the following episode was going to take a while to get back on its feet, what with most the cast that we'd gotten to know being culled, but it never really recovered. A lot of the new characters were, by the standards set in the previous episodes, barely developed and the couple that were, like Molly and Vernon, were under utilised. The plotting also got a little more contrived, especially some of Ben's plot-required stupidity and the whole abduction thing, and there was needless exposition like the video that shows Molly and the doctor - it was all nicely ambiguous and implied before that. The way they handled Kenny's death(?) was terrible. His whole change of heart needed more development than that one stagey, melodramatic scene and the whole 'did he or didn't he die?' angle of his off-screen death seemed a bit off. He was probably the most developed character of the cast and deserved better. Although I am interested in seeing how it plays out if you let Ben die in episode 4.
There was still a lot of good stuff in the last two episodes though, the scene in the attic with Kenny and the final sequence being two examples. Also bonus points for not giving Lee a 'beautiful death' (he really looked terrible for most the last episode) and that post credits scene was masterful. Despite my quibbles, I still think it's one of the best of 2012 and I'm very much looking forward to season two - especially if we get to play as Clementine.

this FUCKING game
i know i said dishonored is game of the decade and i stand by that
but TWD is, so far, tearing me apart story-wise, in a way that dishonored came a little short of doing
