Video clip about a very stupid college student. You may find this amusing, frightening or thought provoking.
I think it is a message that pretty much sums up the attitude of the youth of the day. "I can get away with anything." But as the clip shows, it ain't necessarily so. :)

If you use DAP or another accelerator downloader, disable it and let Media player do it's thing.

Grownups are terrible at bullshitting.
Remove Windows, disable wireless and transponder, ransom the data.

Seems like he's just trying to scare the piss out of whoever took it.
Thank God that guy's not one of my professors!:eww:

Yeah, he do ramble, and is definitely applying some "scare tactics". I find it amusing for all of that. :)

If I really had such valuable data in my computer, I would be a little more discreet, but hey... I guess he doesn't mind getting it stolen for the second time by a more serious thief.

I lost it at I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY THEY USE and later again with I'M THE ONLY MAN IN THE WORLD WHO CAN... XD

of course the most basic thing to realise is that if he is so sure he could catch the guy, he wouldn't be making that speech, he'd be catching him. The thief, who might have been concerned whether they were close to catching him, has nothing to worry about, as the professor has just proven with his (admittedly very dramatically delivered) speech that they're stumped as to how to find him. He knows now that all he has to do is put the laptop somewhere safe, don't turn it on, and deny everything.
edit: also PS dude don't put such important data on a fucking laptop
TheMuffinMan on 4/5/2006 at 11:27
One would think he would be more concerned with what these various law enforcement agencies are going to do to him for being so idiotic as to leave a laptop full of confidential and unencrypted data out to simply be stolen by any given passerby.

Pssh. The guy is clutching at straws since he can't find the thief. Pretty lolling how he's trying to make it sound like the FBI are on the case. Who the fuck would keep MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR TRADE SECRETS on a run of the mill Windows laptop?
Also, Blackie, spare us with the "youth of today" shtick - theft has been around since the dawn of time.
