Right, and no body awareness either. The frame rate limiting options are already in, but I'll make them default to 'off' then.

So the compass-thing is "hard" to remove? :D
snobel on 7/11/2016 at 11:56
We'll see. :p So far I've played through a few level transitions with the "Active=NOT" tweak in DX2UI.ini and I haven't seen the compass reappear. So I'll probably just implement the tweak like that. Then if someone can provide a save near a level transition where it'll reappear in spite of the tweak, then I can investigate some more.

Here's the (
https://www.dropbox.com/s/40sh1b26vrx3962/Setup_DX2VisibleUpgrade_Full_1.2.0_beta.exe?dl=1) beta release. Edit: Link updated (beta).
Before installing, please make sure that you have a clean game install. If you're not sure if you've done any manual modding, then it's best to reinstall the game first. Also, for the time being, your saves and User.ini file must be in "Documents\Deus Ex - Invisible War".
The beta includes the VisibleTweaker tool, so check it out for the available options. The Unified Texture Pack has the same options as in the original installer, except that the font and Omar textures have been split off as separate options.
As is the case for T3, the patched game uses a separate set of binaries (optional) and options files, so it's possible to run the unpatched game for comparison if potential issues appear. The installer will copy any existing User.ini file (renamed to Options.ini) and remove the viewport settings, which are not used anymore. Resolution selection works just like in T3.
It's now possible to have a file named Usr.ini in the game root and use it to override the values in Default.ini - the way User.ini works for T3. (Unfortunately the name User.ini had to change because that would confuse the unpatched game.)
If you find anything weird, please provide the log, a savegame and (when relevant) a screenshot. (Loading the relevant save and afterwards zipping up the Current Save folder should do.) Random CTDs are not likely caused by the patch, so no need to report those.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/mzr09t7g1cp0k3a/options_tn.jpg?dl=1Various aspect ratios: 4:3, 16:9, 48:9. The game's FOV settings are adjusted to match. If you look closely you'll notice that the HUD is not
quite the right size in the 16:9 case: The HUD FOV doesn't scale in the same way as the others, and it seems to change in discrete steps - so getting it right for all aspect ratios is not easy. But if you find an aspect ratio where the HUD is way off, please report it.

The ConvoSymmLetterbox tweak is active here - symmetric letterboxing looks nicer and you see more of the scene, at the expense of having only two subtitle lines. The FOVFactor setting is ignored during these conversations to avoid messing them up.

Downloading & Testing!
Stingm on 18/11/2016 at 03:20
Well I can tell you it don't work for me. It loads to a smaller version of the desktop and sits there. Once I was able to alt tab and it opened to the game but maps didn't show and it didn't last long so no save game or screen shot. I have windows 10 I5 quad core 4gig ram and a hd card. I will wait for 1.0 and install over the current upgrade.
snobel on 18/11/2016 at 06:30
Hmm, weird. Which version of the game do you have?
Edit: Can you run the unpatched game? (There's a shortcut for that in the start menu.)
lowenz on 18/11/2016 at 09:12
GOG version here (I think it's the lastest, but I can re-download it or test the Steam one).
*Without dgVoodoo2 the process remains in background processes pool
*With dgVoodoo2 I got this error:

LOL for "viktoria" (Thief reference) as codename :D

Addendum: I can run the unpatched game (GOG version).
