Quite simple actually, nice job by Bethsada:
There's a help file in the morrowind directory, "TES CONSTRUCTION SET.HLP" I believe. This is what explained everything for me, however,
If the file you download is in ".esp" form, this means you simply add the .esp file to your datafiles directory, it should be with 'morrowind.esm'.
As for using the construction set, read the help file.

I have no idea how to use the TES Editor either, but I'm not sweating it. Yet. Don't worry about making your own mods until you've looked at other ones and decided what worked and what didn't.
As for installing them, most mods will have a small "readme" text file in them, detailing what is to be done with the mod to make it work. Any good mod will have this feature. Untested mods - you're on your own.
For downloading them, RPGPlanet's (
http://www.rpgplanet.com/morrowind) Morrowind page seems to have the most mods thus far. (
http://www.elderscrolls.com) The Elder Scrolls site only has 1 - the first Official Mod. But there will probably be more. Or, do a Google search for "morrowind mod."
Hope this helps in some way.

Just adding to what Tuco posted: once you have the plugin in the right place, you run the game, but when the splash screen menu comes up, instead of clicking on "Play" click on "Data Files." Check the boxes next to the plugins you want to load. Click OK, then "Play."

And to add my two drakes worth ^_^ make sure that if you save a game that is using plugins, Keep them loaded.
EXAMPLE:save A uses main, plugin 1 and 2. HAVE plugin 1 and 2 loaded
save B uses main, plugin 1 and 3. Make sure 1 and three are loaded but NOT 2

Hi all!
When i try to a add a Datafile it doesn't work... Though i figured out that the plug-ins should be loaded bi the morrowind.ini file! At the last line, you can see:
[GameFiles]
GameFile0=morrowind.esm
So maybe when you click on the adding datafiles button it changes here...
If anyone could post his morrowind.ini file or at least the last lines that would help me!
I just can't wait to play with those plugins!!!
