That's interesting, 'cos that's fairly clearly favoring Obama and while I personally think McCain is full of crap, I thought the republican probably would have had the edge on the bulk of the debate if perhaps not the likability score. Shows what I know :D

Also total lol at the level of analysis the back pat/handshake snub thing is getting. I think consensus is settling on McCain tapping Obama on the back in order to introduce him to Cindy, whose hand Obama moved to shake. (So for once no one is the bad guy!)

I think that its obvious at this point that Obama is a keen enough politician to not show direct disrespect at a public event. I didn't actually see the event, I was watching the entire debate but must have missed that. This is like the 'giving the bird to Hillary' or other non-issues that people come up with based on over analyzing the event. Obama has always been the more comfortable and fluid of the candidates during their meetings, and I see no reason at all Obama would go out of his way to snub McCain.
They'll try to make a deal out of it, but I really think everyone is sick of this shit.

Maybe I should revise my score to -2 a piece, it's just that I expect better from Obama.
As for that, I guess we can expect more but I'm not sure its realistic. Obama has a full plate in a debate like that. He's got to reinforce his policies, because they are not at all clear to a lot of people (dipshit independents who expect you to shovel it in their face or they wont see it), he's got to debunk misinformation against him, and then also try to answer the questions at hand. Considering the platform with time constraints, and you've got a pretty busy evening. I felt like he did an entirely adaquate job. Things could always be better, but with Obama I think he's just set the bar so high that we expect him to wow us at every outing which is probably unrealistic.

I didn't stick around to watch the pundits yap about the post-debate analysis. If anyone else also noticed and talked about it, then I'd say that means something in itself.
(edit) It shouldn't be a big deal, and honestly, people who get turned off by little things like that to the point where they'd swing the other way are idiots. However, I would've preferred that he go through the motion with the phony formality just to eliminate this kind of a "non-issue" that somehow manages to *be* an issue.

Tell her that because of it, I, a complete stranger, am moving to China to become a fisherman.
And then tell her to make you a sandwich.
I don't even like fish.
