For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Oh, and he was spot on about people clinging to guns, religion and xenophobia. That's why people got so pissed off - because Obama was dangerously close to the truth. Who gives a shit if it sounded elitist - I want the most powerful man in the world to be an intelligent man who knows he's smarter than everyone else. Especially after 8 years of being ruled by inbred hick fuckwits.
Thanks for validating 80% of right wing radio.
Both sides are equally extreme and equally based on hubris and condescension.
Obama is smarter?Like the smartest bear in the zoo?

I know I mean politicians are like so stupid LOL, if only they were as intelligent as the average forum poster we'd be in a lot better position am i rite guys? Its like, why can't they see how simple we all know these complex issues are? If I were president I would have this shit fixed 2 fast.

Obama is NOT a Muslim.
I don't care which imaginary concept he clings to, but what does trouble me is that he chose Muslim Cleric Husham al-Husainy to deliver the invocation at the Winter DNC.
Husainy is a well known extremist with quite the record of supporting Islamists at war with both America and Israel.
As to exactly who is the more commited Christian of the two, that has more to do with one's personal views on what Christianity is then anything else. It's not like our nation's favorite fairy tale is exactly tangible or singular now is it?
Unless of course Jeremiah 'God Damn America' Wright has the monopoly on the 'true word' so to speak.
Maybe Obama was just in a holy fervor when he said "...but if they made a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby." Maybe that's just the Chitown version of snakes and strychnine.
I highly doubt that either of these politicians are any more pious then they need to be to garner votes.

Obama wouldn't have been in charge of any DNC stuff at this point since he was still trying to win the nomination. So I looked into this and it was Howard Dean made that decision, not Obama. I don't know much about this cleric, but if you've got a beef, its with Dean, not Obama.
But I can't help if you are determined to beleive the right wing media/blog talking points without exception.

See here we go again. One snippet of one sermon, taken out of context. But I'll never convince you of it.
Honestly, I don't want to get into the race thing again. But if you honestly feel that Barack is going to enslave white people, I pity you. I mean really, that's what all of this refusal to put Rev. Wright into proper perspective boils down to. This irrational (white) fear that Obama is going to push the "BLACK" button once he's office and set off riots, pillages, and payback against white america.
EDIT: And one other thing that has convinced me you are viewing this through a racial prism. You mention "Chi-Town" as in Chicago. To me this is code for "slick, shifty, jive-talking" politician. The *BLACK* guy trying to run a game on you.

The McCain campaign's cowardice in refusing to allow Sarah Palin to give an interview is inexcusable.

If you come up with anything of substance, I'll be around.
I'm not going to buy into your unnecessary fixation with race which quite frankly (in your post above) borders on paranoia.

This dragging-back-and-forth with health care and %ts and other important issues reminded me something:

Wondering ... when will we eventually get it.
That's mastering the obvious a little bit, don't you think? Also, resource consumption can only grow exponentially in the absence of scarcity. As resources become scarce, growth becomes logarithmic. This gives rise to the logistic equation used to model population growth in closed ecologies. See (
http://ipmworld.umn.edu/chapters/ecology.htm) http://ipmworld.umn.edu/chapters/ecology.htm Human consumption and population growth are problems that will eventually solve themselves because of scarcity, but I think the peak is a lot further away than most people think. Humans are adaptable, and as one resource becomes scarce we adapt to others.

Have you ever lived in Pennsylvania or the Midwest? I have, and Obama's generalization of working class PA & Midwestern voters is not at all accurate. For one thing, he confused the Midwest with the South. But even in the South the stereotype is over-reaching and inappropriate. You may as well claim that SoCal voters cling to their gangs and movies, or that Jewish voters are all penny pinching Zionists. If you honestly think he was close to the truth, you're both ignorant and intolerant.
This thread is turning into a good example of why American two party politics is screwed up. We can't sustain political discourse or the exchange of ideas for long before the blind partisanship starts, and then everybody retreats to their party lines and starts mudslinging. We act like fans of our favorite sports team in the middle of a championship game, bitching about the refs (i.e. the media), demonizing the other team, excusing our own team's bad behavior and poor sportsmanship, etc.

Dude, you're the one who keeps pushing the scary black/Muslim pastor button without prompting.
