Mission 1, lava cave: how do you return
after picking up the red gem? Am I the only one getting hopelessly stuck on the far rock ledge, with all the platform blown up... :confused:i can help
as soon as you drop from above on platform go straight to gem i think 2 jumps then run/jump like crazy back to where you entered cave then go back up and finish mission,i had lag myself there, but was able to do it

also people having problem with ring i figured it out
you need to get objective before going to yengis place, otherwise the cutscene between yengis and guard dont happen,i replayed on easyest setting and entire mission was perfect,so get all objectives before doing them before handHow do you get out once you have the ring? Entrance has invisible wall and rope arrow on the trees wont let me jump over. I'm on easy setting.

Did you hit the bell to make the guards run for the graveyard? This is how you get in there properly. There's a journal that's on a man walking around in the city that states about the guards' reaction to the bell ringing. That makes the barrier go away, and the guards run. But be careful. If the guards see you, they'll think that you did it and attack you.

How are we supposed to know when we have all the objectives? Your solution involves metagaming on a level that should not be needed for a Thief FM, therefore the only conclusion is that the FM itself is broken and needs to be fixed.
I've already aborted my playthrough of this FM because of the ring problem and will wait for an updated version before playing again.[/spoiler]

...go straight to gem i think 2 jumps then run/jump like crazy back to where you entered cave then go back up and finish mission...This is not my day. Finally
I finally succeded running across the platforms, visited the side caves, flipped 4 levers, shimmied across the ropes, up the big ladder - but all I can do inside is to read the gold plates on the 4 pedestals. What am I missing to open the portal? I have the 4 gem plaques, and all other objectives completed...

small square plate on the ground in front of the portal area and frobbing around the
plate - there is the sound of a switch when you get it right.

After blindly frobbing the pedestals for a few hundred times I accidentally found the sweet spots inside, about a foot above the plate :) A visual indication would have been useful...Heading for Mission 2 now.

In the caves at the end -
the last lever opens up a side path to a patrolling fireball and stone column with sparking fire - is there anything to do here ? Edit: OK, just didn't listen properly first time ;)
Found that
the hidden switchoast the first fire elemental and below the sparkling thing as well.
But what does it do ? I do not know where to continue.
I am 5 hours into it, and it is even more difficult than the original. :erg:
However, that sunken house
with that tilted geometry is a genious aspect of this mission.
It still makes my stomach trying to revolt each time I make my way through it. :thumb:
