Nicely done!
Care to tell me where the last (hardest) pieces you found are?
Some pieces were *really* difficult to find. A few examples:
a tiny ring at the bottom of the pool in the large South mansion (near its center, very hard to see, worth 100);
coins in each fountain; a coin on the floor of the side passage on the hotel roof; a coin in a roof window past the second metal rod as you return from the pagan (mantle and look left); a tapestry at the top of the stairs in the house with the breakable wall secret;
three silver nuggets in the lava cave.Also:
did you jump across the stone wall past the Mechanist courtyard? Did you find both pieces in the canal? Did you find something in the cemetery? and did you pickpocket both guards at Yangus' Estate?

Thanks csamba, that little list nearly had me mop up everything! Missing only 20 now.

Oh crap, I thought I had looked in those already! Now I found 5 more loot in one and 5+20+20 (!) in the other.

a coin on the floor of the side passage on the hotel roof I had this, as it was there in the original release. Was actually looking for one more on that roof, but it seems to have been removed.

a coin in a roof window past the second metal rod as you return from the pagan (mantle and look left); Yup, I had missed this. A cool place for loot.

three silver nuggets in the lava cave. Yup.

did you jump across the stone wall past the Mechanist courtyard? The one with a ladder leading back? Yes.

Did you find both pieces in the canal? I may have. Can't remember more than one, though:
(in the city main part by the market place, close to the dead end by the ladder )Quote Posted by csamba
Did you find something in the cemetery? Argh! I thought I had combed that place.
Must not have looked high enough. :cheeky:

and did you pickpocket both guards at Yangus' Estate? Sure.

That last piece could be
a coin on the floor (between the seats) of the music room in the large South Mansion....

The only thing left for me to find now is where GORT has hidden that speed potion...

OK, I gave it a try on Insane - just to confirm that it's not my style any more...
But
the speed potion is mischievously hidden:ebil: on another high windowsill: as you jump/mantle towards the pagan, turn left from the first square building ledge and use a rope to jump across and climb to the narrow rooftop. Creep ahead and look left...

Creep ahead and look left... Kinda embarassing that I hadn't even been on that
lower roof part yet, but the potion itself was almost impossible to see from there on my regular gamma setting...

I enjoyed it a lot - once I had secured
that mansion building so I could drown all those annoying no-KO guards in the pool. :cheeky:

Oh dear - I seem to have hit a problem.
I've killed Yangus and got the ring
But when I drop it in the thief's room, the 'basso's gift' objective ticks, but I get an instant fail on 'get the ring' objective.
What have I done wrong?:confused:

I've drawn a fairly detailed map of the city, which will be included in a walkthrough I'm working on. It should help any lost and weary taffers find their way. More maps to come...

OK, boys & girls. What's the trick to getting up to where these two statues are?
Inline Image:
http://www.bogadocious.com/temp/caves.pngI've looked at it all in Dromed and came up empty. I have the four gem plaques.

OK. To get the ladder and the ropes down you'll need to take the route pass the area of where you get the cloak. Once you've made it to the far ledge by going from rope to rope, you'll need to goto the room with lava in it. It has the lever to open the side wall in the tunnel. Next, use the lever in that pillar in the room with the fire elemental. Now, get back to that area and you'll notice that both the ropes and the ladder will be available.
