Mesa-like badlands + Sante Fe line (looking) train engine + not one but two big rigs in one shot = distilled, pure Americana.

I just arrived in Sioux Falls. Yesterday I visited the gorgeous Devil's Tower and this morning before leaving the Black Hills I made a detour to Mt Rushmore. Will update the log in a minute.
I crossed the Missouri twice, once in Pierre and once in Chamberlain where I took some pics, I hope they're good. Going through South Dakota is like being in Dances with Wolves, I actually got to see the Fort Hays used in the film. The great plains are beautiful, however after three days of flat lands I'm getting kinda tired of it.
I will surely arrive in Madison one day ahead of schedule.

I remember watching all the climbers like little specks all over Devil's Tower.
I didn't have time to get any farther than the boulders around the base.
