The canyon you went through is the (
http://www.arizonaroads.com/interstate/i15.html) Virgin River Canyon. It's a nice drive in both directions, but I like going south, because it's all down hill :ebil: And I like to do it about 75-80 mph. (120 kph +)

Nice shot in the Bellagio, it was the only casino I went to that felt like a place with a bit of character and class.
It felt a bit weird having people constantly talk about how it's in the middle of the desert, though. Sure it pops up out of nowhere, but desert in Australia is red dirt and anthills, whereas Vegas actually has shrubs growing along the way :D

Man, this guy Raph can eat some Chinese food! Let me tell ya, he ate almost his entire HUGE entree at David's Kitchen in Salt Lake City. We almost couldn't find the dang place because they moved, and then traffic was a nightmare, but he drove like the seasoned Frenchman he is. I had to give a lady "the eye" so she would let us over one lane at an intersection, but other than that, it all turned out good:)
It was a pleasure to have Raph for dinner, and he's a very polite person. I'd recommend you all have Raph over for dinner on his trip across the USA. We can't wait to see the rest of your pictures. See ya later Raph! It's been a pleasure to have you here in SLC.

Can I say what a pleasure it was to have Raph visit in SLC? Okay, I already said it, but yes, we had a fun time. We had dinner at David's Kitchen, a famous Chinese restaurant here in SLC. Then we had wine and conversation back at my place. We all watched a little CSI season premiere, so that was fun. This morning, we visited the Great Salt Lake and downtown SLC. Then Raph left for his wonderful trip through Wyoming. Here's Raph and myself at the Great Salt Lake.

Indeed :D (damn that was a windy moment there)
I'm very glad you convinced me of making that tour of SLC, originally I didn't think there was really anything to see there, and I was completely wrong :thumb:
Many, many thanks again to TBE and family for their kindness and hospitality, David's Kitchen is definitely in my "come back" list and we had a wonderful evening afterwards talking about all kinds of stuff, from our jobs to tv shows and movies to pirates, it was great.
If you ever come to Barcelona, I know a couple of restaurants too ;)
Safely arrived in Buffalo, WY here. I know, that was pushing a bit but I couldn't resist the full moon on the plains, driving at night with just that light and the stars, windows open and Diana Krall jazz full blast was awesome.
I will update my stuff tomorrow morning. Now I'll just sleep.
Stay tuned :)
