Sounds like fun. Why don't we all put together a Gnome trip map, so we can decide where it's going to go (ie from one nearby person to another), and thus save on shipping costs as much as possible.

Interesting........
I can take the Gnome to the Family History Library and the Beehive House! Woo-hoo! j/k
Okay, anyway, count me in, and I'll take him to some of the 2002 Winter Olympic spots here in Salt Lake City and the surrounding areas. Then drive the Gnome to Purah or Komag since they're like 30 minutes away by car. We'll get pictures of the hand off, like an Olympic torch sorta deal :thumb:

Just had a thought.. can someone sew a pocket on that Dummy so we can put the stamps that came with the package... it will be cool to finally have him at TTLG with a whole load of postage stamps!!! :-)

Might not be such a good idea to sew something onto an inflatable toy... :erm:

Status Report:
Dave is coding up his l33t asp trickery on the pages I designed and sent.
So far the Gnome (which is actually more of a Waldo) has seen sights in Edmonton and Halifax.
We have a big map that I will add to as Nomey's journey progresses.
Depending on how much time Dave can give to the mechanics of the pages (as I understand it, he's making it call pictures etc up like the photoalbum does), things should be rolling along in the next couple of days, barring incident.
David on 15/11/2002 at 22:56
Should be ready to roll sometime on Sunday Afternoon (GMT) subject to no Bad Things⢠happening :)

Best kind of debugging is user feedback, so if anything is broken or spelled wrong, tell tell here. And I'm not about to go coding it for Rebel Browsers, so you can lay off. I'm not that clever, okay? ;)

YAY! It's up!! Woohoo! Would never've been possible without GBM's help. So I just want to offer a big thanks to him, and to David also for helping in getting the site up! Thank a bunch guys!
**Oh, and by the way, the Gnome is in New-Brunswick, Canada at the moment & not in Edmonton. I don't think I was clear on it's location when I sent it to GBM; bad dhaelis.. :(
