The Taxman cometh....

you have the right person Feenix, but i have no idea why he wont talk about her. The correct way to do this quest is to talk to her first about everything on the topic list. Then talk to the taxman about her, you will be presented with 2 or 3 options for an answer to her wherabouts. The answer that says [Lie] next to it is the option you want to pick. Then when you go back to talk to her she should talk.

Im thinking maybe you talked to the taxman first before talking to her and screwed something up....or its just one of the many strange bugs that appear in this game.

I talked to him first and I either said I didn't know where she was or I selected goodbye without answering him.

When you talk to her, she says she's nervous because the tax guy is haning around, right? If so, there should be some kind of dialogue choice where you can volunteer to help her out. You have to accept the task of helping her before you talk to the tax guy again.

Once you have offered to help her, the option to lie about her whereabouts should come up when you talk to the tax man.

I think I talked to him first then talked to the chick, I'm pretty sure there wasn't any option to help her or I would have chosen it. I could have just left and talked to the taxman again without even saying anything to her and the option just doesn't appear anymore, which is kinda dumb. Why would that option just disappear?? Wierd.

Anyways, I'm passed that, I'll go back and try when I get a chance.

Well, well, well....I went into the canton and walked straight to Aldriunnin(sp) and she started talking about the taxman and how I should get rid of him!!! WOOT!!!! :D :D

So I go to the taxman to get rid of him.....nothing. No new topics at all. :mad: :mad: Ok, maybe she has more to say...nope, just to go get rid of him. I go back to the taxman, still nothing.....ok, what do I do now??? I talked about everything with them, and I get nothing.

I WANT TO CONTINUE THE MAIN QUEST!!! :( :( :(

Ok, I've read some walkthroughs and FAQ's and whatnot about this quest and they say the same thing you guys are. Just to walk up to the taxman and lie about her saying she went to the mainland.

Now my problem consists of getting me to lie to the taxman.....it just won't let me, do you think I have a bug?? Should I get rid of the Mods I downloaded?

Hmm.. when you talk to him, did you ask him about her? IIRC, that's when he asks you and you can then lie.

Other than that, given how odd your situation is I'd suggest saving, and then using NeoXro's suggestion and killing him (preferably by taunting or frenzying him). She ought to respond then, regardless of your not being able to get the taxman dialogue in question.

How do I ask him?? It's not an option. Do I do something else? Is there a way to start other conversations??

Also, since you mentioned taunting, every time I taunt someone to 0/100 they just says "You're pathetic." and ignores me, every time. How do I get them to attack me?

Hrm.. Duvianus Platorius (the tax guy) should have the topic 'Addhiranirr' from before you ever meet him. As to taunting, if it's at 0% you'll always fail; I usually bribe them back up to 70% and then taunt some more. Then again, if you're not getting any successful taunts out of him at all then your speechcraft skill's likely just not high enough.
