You know, just between you all and me, I've heard from a reliable source, who had read an article, that Thief 4 sucks. Anyone want to discuss how right I am?
... this is all really silly. It's only a F*****G game. And what's even more silly than fighting over whether or not a game that hasn't even been released is any good or not, and fighting over each others opinion's, is having to replace letters in a word with asterisks--everyone knows the naughty word, just replacing a letter doesn't change the word! UGHHHHASS! The world has gone mad!
Well shit.

You certainly arent the authoritative judge of TTLG personalities. You are about as fake as the rubber on the bottom of your shoe. You act like you have some importance here. You dont. Whatever delusions of grandeur you suffer from here is completely self appointed. And you dont have a clue about Looking Glass Studios.
This can be said for a lot of the regulars here though, unfortunately. This community has become an insular circle jerk for the hardcore and it's really sad to see. Say what you will about SE's other ventures but at the very least we need people who still have a shred of optimism about the new game around or the boring bubble of negativity just gets worse and more painful to read. That and there can be no debate without two sides.

We're wandering from the topic here.
You guys can still spar when you're talking about the game or reviews and having different opinions, but when you start just talking about each other so much, suddenly we're not talking about the game anymore.

It's discussing any aspect of the new game that causes people to be this way so around and around we go unfortunately :laff:
A new game in the series always seems to make people extra touchy, shorter fused and very angry.

So in summary Garrett now has the total ability to sellout.

Shit... I'm getting really FRUSTRATED. But not by nowadays games, no. I'm frustrated by stupid (let's call it by a name) developers' approaches and thoughts. Stop dumbing down games by making them easier and easier! Is it really so hard to make a good, difficult Thief game for the old fanbase?? Don't bother of those who "want to feel good and comfortable" while playing games. New Thief should be even more difficult , with its new AI and challenges! Real gamers want real challenge! Give it to us, give us real THIEF experience, EM.
I'm not totally frustrated because it is very expected. And I know I'll still have hours and hours of wonderful mod and fan mission contributions from the awesome people on boards like this to play.
It is really apparent that the devs of this are not good game designers because they are not putting out a product they feel passionately about but instead only concerned about what people they demo it to think. That is very very bad. Sure you can get feedback. But you should NVER take ALL the feedback. You should never make changes to everything simply because some people say "It's too haaaaaaaaaaaaard".

But... those would be the same people who would say that Deus Ex: HR, The Last of Us, Metro Last Light, Remember Me are at least average/good games.
And that would be moronic.
SubJeff on 24/6/2013 at 11:41
Tell us more about the games you think are average.
Vivian on 24/6/2013 at 11:48
I think that was sarcasm, subj.
