the sex of The Many... - by paganinio

I remember reading somewhere about The Many but I forgot the keywords so I cannot Google it. I think it was on Wikipedia (maybe still there, in the (
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=System_Shock_2&action=history) History tab.)
It mentioned that The Many was both male and female. This knowledge is confirmed by AllGameGuide which credits:

Does anyone know of a good biography or description of The Many? From what I know, The Many is quite similar to this:
Quote:
the perfect guitar noise that Kevin Shields has in his head: a pure, warm, androgynous but deeply sexual rush of sound.
Loveless is overwhelming, with Shields and Bilinda Butcher's guitars and voices blending into each other until they become a distant orchestra, the rhythm section striding in majestic lockstep, and occasional bursts of dance rhythms (as on the single "Soon") buoying the live instruments' warp and drift. Furiously loud but seductive rather than aggressive, the album flows like a lava stream from one track into another, subsuming everything in the mix into its blissful roar, and pulsing like a lover's body.
Maybe that is why they couldn't resist the "call of Many".

Was there a question?
Unsurprisingly the Many have a sexual theme since they're all about the body and the flesh. Most of the game this theme is subdued though. The "joy of the Many" is a purely mental experience, the opposing concept to loneliness and technology.
In a daring move this sexuality is introduced unapologetic in the end of the game as the player has to traverse sphincters, a mouth and vaginal caves.
When I think that Levine & Co. slapped this into the face of a male adolescent audience...
Hilarious and fucking brilliant at the same time.

Interestingly enough, it hasn't gotten any funnier with age.

So it's not a fine wine then?
(sorry, that just reminded me of the weapons training booth. NEEERD :()

Weapons are not fine wine... they're more like drunken sushi. What's been great moments ago can go awfully wrong next time you try it.

drunken sushi
Now there's a culinary curiosity. What's involved in getting sushi drunk? And is it worth the alcohol?

It's in the glassy eyes of the beholder. But I think it's always worth it when the party is right and the people are right and the fish is alright. Know what I mean?
