I cannot find a way out of the hammerite crypt with the haunts, I've looked for every possible exit and they're all closed off to me, I tried to come back the way I came but the hole is too high up and there's no spot for a rope arrow. I made it down to the Hammerite library and found the book but there's no other ways out. I'm totally stuck.

I´m replaying this masterpiece of a campaign and I have a general question: Did anyone here ever fully ghost it? I´m currently replaying fanmissions ghosting them (usually I just knock everyone down), but mission 1 of the seven sisters is not ghostable (at least not with a very high tolerance of annoyance :laff:). In the first part where all the rogues walk around, if I don´t knock them out, even though nothing suspicious happened they are on very high alert. Even when one has his back to me, as soon as I emerge from the shadows he comes running after me.
Edit: I have to mention ghosting + finding all loot :D
Edit 2: Is there a way to ring the bell the mechanist Anton speaks of in his journal? If not, then the mechanist complex is not ghostable either, because basso can´t escape savely if all those mechanists patrol there.

You can check Klatremus take on this challenge, ghost report and video:

Yeah I know about klatremus´challenges, but he´s really persistent when it comes to ghosting :D I figured in this particular fanmission it´s just not for me. Especially in mission two there are just some people I want to struck down (twice or thrice if it was possible) :D basil, the butcher.. just to name a few bastards

You
did notice you can make Basil pay for what he did to his wife, right?:ebil: At least if you can wait until Night two to exercise this kind of revenge.

I also think the rogues are more alert than ususal, but I can't pinpoint the source of this. Looking around in DromEd shows that there are some links between the rogue AI's, but I don't know whether these explain the somewhat hyper-alerted behaviour I sometimes see with these rogues. However, since I'm not a fan of ghosting, standing in a dark corner and swinging the blackjack usually solves this problem for me.:cheeky:

It's rather easy to use this bell, at least on easy difficulty level (I didn't check it out with the higher difficulties).
Get into the entrance hall of the Mechanist building, take the key hanging directly to the right of the door to the security room, and go inside. Turn off the light, then pull the appropriately named bell string. Wait for quite some time, as it may take one or even two minutes for some of the Mechanists to go into the chapel on the other side of the entrance hall. Save your game to be sure you don't have to repeat all the fuss if something goes wrong, then visit Basso and open the cell. You need a "lockbox key" for that as well; I don't remember where I found it, but there should be a good walkthrough on this subject, made by fortuni. He usually lists all important keys and their locations. He also lists the alternate locations of the security room key on higher difficulty levels.
If the mission fails after a while, though, something may befall Basso after he left the Mechanist building. Sometimes, it's
one of the zombefied people (that includes Jenivere, if you have not cured her before Basso arrives!), and sometimes, it may be something else. Another good reason to save the game at an appropriate point, such as just before releasing Basso.

Haha of course, but thats not enough for me - basil absolutely has to wake up with a bump on his head! :D
I always play on expert. I dont remember if the bell string was even there. When I replay this mission Ill pay attention to this :)

Basil is about the only one whom I always whack as much as I can before he hits the ground. The bastard deserves it!:ebil:
Concerning the bell string and its function: I checked it out in DromEd. It should be the same on all difficulty levels, only the placement of the security room key seems to vary.
