The game said I had to kill the nymphs (take care of them) to get the white stone key. Was that wrong?
I couldn't get anywhere near their cave without them all going on alert & homing in on me en masse.
I couldn't get anywhere near the lava pit with the fire elementals alerting to my presence, so that I couldn't toss in the heart...

Yeah you don't have to kill anyone to get the stone key or destroy the heart. I just sneak in through the left tunnel and go around the nymphs. In the lava cave you can just wait and enter when they're facing away. They don't hear the heart dropping in if you're at the other end. All these missions can be ghosted with full loot, and this one can even be Supreme ghosted, as in no first alerts.
I agree I don't like forced violence either, unless it makes total sense following the story.

Weird then. It must have been like the "bug" I got in Night One where AIs had gone into heightened-awareness for an extra long period. As soon as I even entered the caves and the light level got above complete darkness they all came running at me from across the map.
Oh well, that's good to know for another playthrough. Thanks!

There seem to be more reports of this problem lately. I also experienced it several times during the last weeks, in various missions, including Night One or Two of "Seven Sisters", but also in the last mission of "The Black Frog". Sometimes, it was very complicated to find out whether it was a bug or whether there was a tiny small crevice through which someone saw me and then ran and screamed all around the map (which can be a real nuisance but technically is not a bug, AFAIK). However, I could not pinpoint any source for this "alertness epidemy" so far.
One trick that sometimes helps with single AI's on constant alert is to get them out of their running state. In Night One or Two of "Seven Sisters", I had one thief (or "Ramirez guard") constantly running into the closed doors in front of the Mechanist building, and screaming for assistance. He would not calm down, and I have seen this in other missions as well. The solution for me usually was to either let the alerted AI see me, pursue me, and then go somewhere where the AI could neither see nor reach me, and wait - or to open the doors for that AI.
Either one could help. Be nice and help a panicking AI, will you?:cheeky:

I've done that "unsticking favor" as well. I felt sorry for the poor guy, bashing his forehead against the doorjamb forever like that! :laff:

Door imprint in the face all over again!:cheeky:
I also "unstick" these AIs because they tend to be in my way. Most of the time, I cannot sneak up on them, so they have to go. Blackjacking them doesn't work for me in these situations either.

it was hitting SneakyGuy101 in his latest let's play of The Seven Sisters I watched last night.
If I come across any more, do you want a list of them?
(Seems like you might be well ahead of me on any I could provide you, though.)

I have seen a few more strange things the AIs do in "The Black Frog", but some of these behaviours I already wrote down when playing that campaign for the first time, still with OldDark. I think these problems are too much and too confusing for me, and currently don't wish to pursue those. For the time being, I give up on that.

In night one I cured 3 people including Jenivere but the objective didn't check out.

Did you cure Primo, the undead directly before Basso's and Jenivere's house? If you did: He does not count. Apparently, the author didn't think anyone would manage to save him somehow, especially since the guards there kill him rather quickly if the player doesn't knock them out rapidly.
