I know Koki has previously made this suggestion in the Bioshock forum, but maybe it should be discussed here: The RSSBot has served its purpose, and currently it seems to be the biggest BioShock fan on TTLG (in the past 60 days the only threads created in BioShockGen have been by RSSBot, and there has been no discussion spawned in any of those threads. I think Dia posted in one of them, but that's it). Would it be too much to ask that it be retired for a bit, maybe? Or possibly re-tasked to Dishonoured or Deus Ex or Thief 4 (or all three?).
Honestly I'd rather it go away altogether. The community as a whole is just as efficient at finding news stories about the games that interest us, and there tends to actually be discussion in the threads that get started by humans. Any human member doing the RSSbot's drive by link dump topic creation gets rightfully taken to task for not actually contributing anything of use to that forum, it is high time we hold our pseudo-AIs to the same standard.
Or maybe a single dedicated, stickied, RSSBot thread in the respective [game]Gen forums for the games it's set to follow. Let the community go through the BotNews thread and pull out the links that seem interesting enough to talk about, instead of having it flooding the forums with topics for whatever its game d'etre is.
