Hiya!
It´s been a long time since I played Morrowind, and now I wanted to finally complete my mission for the Skaal, BUT there seems to be one annoying problem:
I have fulfilled the missions on 5 of the 6 stones, I did NOT do it the way Aevar-StoneSinger did it, which menas I didn´t start with the Water stone, but did the stone from south to north. NOW, the problem is, I can not activate the sixth stone, the Wind Stone. WHY?
I have done all the "stone quests", and after completion of duty, I went back to every stone and clicked on it, and now 5 of the 6 stones are equipped with a nice graphics effect, except for the WindStone, which I can´t even activate for the first time in order to get my quest to look for t3h Gr33dy Man! I don´t get a "journal updated" message when I click on it! Is this a bug?
latest patch. 1620 or something like it..
What should I do about it?

The order in which you activate and complete the stones' quests are not important, so your problem is not related to that. I had no problem here and I can't see any logical explanation for your problem except it being a bug. I'd recommend trying to get the code for completing this mission. (assuming you have the PC version).

If you have the PC this should be easy to fix with a few journal commands, just incase you are PC ill post them below.. These are typed in the console btw.
getjournalindex BM_Wind
Now, if that is 10, you already have the quest and you should do it, if not, type this in the console as well.
Journal "BM_Wind" 10
I can't remember if you need quotes or not, but that should do it. In your journal the quest should be there. Now do the quest and hopefull the bug wont persist and your journal will update.

now that´s really strange!
EVEN THOUGH I haven´t done it, I get the message "10", i.e. Morrowind "thinks" I´ve already done it.
That´s strange...Any way to revert this one? like...Journal BM_Wind 0 ? or something like that?

Hmm, have you released the wind from the Greedy Mans bag? If not and you dont know where it is just type that Journal command I listed above and do the quest, that indeed should fullfill the quest and you should be on your way from there..:cheeky:

well, no this hasn´t worked before!
I couldn´t "click" on the Wind Stone, so I couldn´t get the quest for releaseing the wind, so I couldn´t release the wind, so I am stuck.
That´s when I tried your console-command. Now, officialy I´m finished, but when I returned to...was is HeartFang?..well...dunno, when I returned to the guy in charge he told me I should come to him after I completed the quest. It seems to me I need a second journal entry, cos on another Forum I heard that afterhaving completed the "ritual of the gifts"-quest the journal is updated with the "mission completed" entry and another entry telling you to go back to the Skaal Village...
So now, what I actually wanted is to find a command that updates my journal with the necessary entry in order for me to actually DO the quest, thus circumventing my inability to activate the WindStone (for the first time, as one has to activate each stone after completion of duty a second time, as you are no doubt aware of).
But well, no one has given me this console command I need for circumventing the "dead" wind stone, all I have is the "I have completed the ritual of the gifts" journal entry, which doesn´t help as the guys in the Skaal Village don´t accept it.

Hmm, this is getting wierd, but lets try again...
getjournalindex BM_Wind, it should be 100, if it isnt, Journal BM_Wind 100
then
getjournalindex BM_Stones, it should be 80 at this point, if not, you know the drill.
Now, talk to him, and if he still is persistent, not to question your progress, but are you 100% sure you've done EVERY stone? Could be you missed one, but if you haven't..
Journal BM_Stones 100, that will enter the completed quest index.. After that you should be good, if not I'll be stupified..

now I´ve tried it with journal BM_Wind 100 AND journal BM_Stones 100 and now there satisfied.
well...interesting
I´ll see whether this´ll be a problem later on...hope not
