Anyone have any info re what % chameleon he was sporting? (I'm assuming that was the chameleon effect in action.)

The developers cheated in his case; that's a 100% chameleon effect (Cassius Olcinius in the St. Delyn plaza has the same thing on him)

Are you talking about the Amulet-of-Shadows-wearin' bandit north of Gnisis? You can still see her ouline enough to kill her. At least, I could see her (I think it was a her) a little (that is, about 20%, which would be exactly the effect of the 80% Chameleon Amulet of Shadows), but I attacked her before I ever found the ring. If you wait until after, when both of them turn on you, does the chameleon-bandit go totally invisible? When I first came upon the ring-pond-woman, I explored around the trees to the right side of the pond (when facing it). The chameleon-bandit is hiding behind a tree. Didn't feel too bad about killing them both, as they were just going to kill me once I found the ring anyway. .

Yup, that's the one. (hiding behind a tree, you say? cute, never noticed) The see-through one isn't actually using the amulet though, as I hinted the developers cheated here. Instead, he has an Ability that applies a constant 100% effect chameleon (no, you can't get this applied to you w/out cheating or a plugin)
