I'm annoyed at the way in T1 he's on for the biggest job of his life from Constantine which is worth 100,000 gold pieces. Yet Garrett still has the requirement to scour the ruins for the sake of 2000 gold. Surely a trip over the wall into the part of the city swarming with the undead would encourage you to go in and out as quick as possible. Instead you have to spend ages hunting for pennies creeping around dark rotten old buildings with god knows what lurking inside, well I do anyway because I always seem to struggle to find the 2000 loot needed for The Haunted Cathedral and just wish I could get on with finding the talismans to get that 100,000 I've been promised.

If he'd been a smarter businessman (he's not), he'd have asked for money up front to cover his equipment needs, except, he doesn't have enough information about what it entails, at least with the Lost City. There'd hafta be a pride issue, or some bit about not keeping in touch with Vik/Con until he's got The Eye.

...not just an ordinary thief. I need an ARTIST.
Garrett... the MASTER thief. Anything else? :ebil:

And after reading that Ramirez wanted to send thieves into the sealed Old Quarter to look for abandoned loot, surely Garrett would enjoy taking that from him as well. Anything to hurt the competition without killing them himself!

If we wanted to nitpick, it only makes sense that if Garrett indeed planned to retire on the 100k Constantine offered, why would he not want to get as much as possible before doing so? Seriously, even if you dont work hard at making your living, you still save as much as possible before retiring.

It bugged me in T1 that Garrett had to steal an ancient trophy (the horn of Quintus) just
to pay his ghetto apartment rent. This horn was worth how much exactly - hundreds of thousands? And now I've been playing FMs and noticing that some of the authors use this ridiculous objective as well - the rent is due so go and steal a few thousand coins  You bet I want to be a landlord in the Thief universe, to receive thousands for shitty one room apartments with no water and electricity.
Planning to go for a bank rob because my rent is due for several months.LOL

You might not know this, but Garrett's really bad with people, like socially retarded, so landlords find it easy to take advantage of him.
I'm surprised he doesn't live in a senile, cat lady's attic.

Thanks for realizing me about the fact. I really appreciated with you.
