Now I'm wondering how many times I've made that mistake. Thanks for making me self conscious about my stupid grammar, Raph.

BA being critical on scant information? Say it ain't so!
BrokenArts on 4/5/2009 at 23:08
You have your opinion, I have mine Scots. Say it isn't so!
Scots Taffer on 4/5/2009 at 23:22
Starrfall asked you a bunch of questions though, you still haven't answered any.
BrokenArts on 4/5/2009 at 23:43
Scots I was at work, and just got home, I could not answer earlier.
No not offended at all Starry, yes, I was critical, just giving the worst case scenario of what she could or might do. Given her not wanting to tell the dad, and scrapping her career. What would she do then? Only she can answer that.
Of course there is a lack of info, I was just working with what we all had to go by. I hope we learn more of what is going on, and in the end she isn't pregnant, or makes the right decisions for herself and that baby IF she is pregnant. I hope that clears it up.
Being a mom I can't help but want to watch out for kids, and defend them, so many have troubled parents, not all of course.
I do hope we hear more from Bloodcat on whats going on.

Hey, hey! This doesn't take momdom, I don't even LIKE kids that much (at close proximity) but I'm all for childrens' rights to good happy childhood.
I'm also realistic enough to know that high-flying career and 2 parental units are not a guarantee of that. I got a picture that this woman is quite smart, can hold a job etc, not a massively troubled crack whore or somesuch. In other words, she sounds like a basically normal human being with minor self-esteem problems (and who doesn't have those?), so if she really wants this child - if it's brewing at all, don't we live exciting times! - she might be at least as good a mother as a middle-class picket-fence hetero SAHM who runs on Xanax.
Of course, she also might plunge to depression and regret and turn into a massively troubled crack whore, but whatever happens, it's her choice. I'm strongly against mindless breeding, but persuasing someone to abortion/adoption against their own will sounds just as horrible and inhumane to me as denying an abortion from someone who definitely doesn't want a kid.
