No, what REALLY bugs me is the broken mouse sensitivity in ss2. How the vertical sensitivity is 2 or 3 times that of the horizontal sensitivity.
That's a new one on me.

Wrong, Shevers, i registered because i thought
there would be friendly People who also like the
same Game than me.
Thats normally the main Reason to register
in Forums, if i am not totally wrong.
To meet People, who are interested
in the same Things.
Few People (if any at all) do it to get hurt,
get blamed for being themselves,
or because they like to be called "Ass" or
something similiar.
If "nasty-talk" and fear of otherthinkers
is characteristic for a Fancommunity,
well, then i almost think, i found it.

Listen. I dont just hunt down noobs to call them asses. (For a year or so I took the time to scold people for doing jus tthat..) But your point about "out-thinkers" is kind of null, since you strode right in here and tried to sack someone for making a well thought out, valid critiscism of a game he didnt like . We dont have enough people who disliked the game who can coherently list what problem they had with SS2. He was an out-thinker, and you were a sarcastic ass.
Theres plenty of friendly people, its just a little easy to miss if your first 2 posts in shockgen are sarcastic. (And not even the fun kind Zibby does.)
Kolya on 22/9/2006 at 04:16
lol, you heard that Zibby? And that was after most of your posts became repetitions of "wrong" or "stupid".

You, Bluegrime, should come out of your World, where theres only bad People
and accept, that it really can be true, that Honest People are technically,
biologically and genetically possible.
Next Time, just let them defend themselves,
you have not to crawl in every Hole. :)
Not being able to ask, when a Misunderstanding comes up,
(possibly not even thinking, that there is one)
because it could have been your Mistake,
plus you could loose "the right" to harass the "evil-doer"
is so sad, i will go and cry my Heart out.
And thats it.
Bye.

Well, if it's a technical issue caused by the engine's very particular tastes in hardware, scratch it off the list.
Replace it with, umm... a complaint to be decided upon later.

Off topic:
WILL you give it a rest? Long time since I've been back here but I got curious as to how the community has faired over the years so I decided to drop in. And look what I find...
The people here are far nicer than most boards I've visited so you shouldn't get all bent out of shape because you've butted heads with one or two members. It
happens, so deal with it and try to make a nice contribution to the board.
Flame OFF I say.
On topic:
Weapon maintenance turned me off this game for about a year. Back then Half-Life was the new thing and I compared just about every game made to it I was so impressed. Having my shotgun jam for the third time (largely due to player ignorance...) on my first run through was the straw that broke the camel's back. A year later I find SS2 under my bed while cleaning and I decide to boot it up, just for old times sake...
From that point on I was a dedicated shocker.

Well at least it's not a counter-strike forum:nono: .
june gloom on 22/9/2006 at 16:43
i dunno, some of the folks over at FPSbanana are pretty cool, really helpful.
i'd compare it more to a fallout forum. my god those people are dicks.
i'd have to say the four worst fandoms i've ever had the misfortune of interacting with are:
half-life, and by association CS and DoD, mostly because of the massive amount of immaturity
fallout, because they're elitist blowhards who are impossible to please
halo, kind of like the HL community only with downs syndrome
Inline Image:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/DannyClein/Smileys/down.gifand, not as bad as some of the others, but still pretty bad: doom community. there's a few great people there, and there's a few people who i just want to punch in the face. little wonder i'm not very active in it.
not that these are the only bad fandoms, mind you- but they're hard to top.

Theres quite a few good people in the world. Your just not one of them.

dethtoll: I was with the Doom community back before it sucked. Now we have all this cool stuff (tech, souce code, ports) and nobody with any decent ideas or the ability to cooperate.
