ignore him. sometimes i think he hates everything.
silent hill 1 and 2 are by far the most engrossing console games i own that don't have "metal gear" in the title.
I belive its a good sign when a 7 or 8 year old game can still make me jump and say "Shit shit shit!". Silent Hill is as great a thinking game as i've ever played, beating SS2 in the sheer sinking into it quality. It, like many games I played at the time, terrified my 8 year old mind from that very first blood spattered alleyway in the first game to the UFO ending. (Also instilled a still justifiable fear of hospitals into me.)
Mmmm.. Metal Gear.. :)

Patience. He may in fact have registered just to post several thousand sarcastic posts, in which case he'll fit right in.
ZylonBane on 20/9/2006 at 17:12
Based on his other posts, I doubt he's being sarcastic.

Wrong, Shevers, i registered because i thought
there would be friendly People who also like the
same Game than me.
Thats normally the main Reason to register
in Forums, if i am not totally wrong.
To meet People, who are interested
in the same Things.
Few People (if any at all) do it to get hurt,
get blamed for being themselves,
or because they like to be called "Ass" or
something similiar.
If "nasty-talk" and fear of otherthinkers
is characteristic for a Fancommunity,
well, then i almost think, i found it.

You are just unlucky, I think most people here are very friendly. If someone is rude for no reason, just ignore him/her. :)

The ladders are a problem, sure, but I've played enough Natural-Selection to not get annoyed with getting stuck at the top of ladders anymore. Onos. Bull-like thing the size of an elephant. Trying to climb a human-sized ladder. With a single rectangular prism hitbox much larger than the ladder. Getting over the lip at the top of a ladder was always a problem that required crouching combined with climbing at the top. A bit tricky the first time, but it rapidly became so trivial that you did it without even thinking, just like crouch jumping.
No, what REALLY bugs me is the broken mouse sensitivity in ss2. How the vertical sensitivity is 2 or 3 times that of the horizontal sensitivity. You get used to it, but it drives me mad every time I play the game for the first time after a long period of not playing it, and even then you never get rid of the feeling that the sensitivity is just broken.
What I mean is how you move the mouse half an inch to look up by 45 degrees, but moving the mouse half an inch to the right might only turn you 15 or 20 degrees. It's maddening.
