Ha! I've become illuminated. I know the reason!
I was browsing through the offical TES mod forum, looking at all the usual "Sword Of Slaying Everything" and "Laser Weapons for Morrowind" kind of things, wondering, why, <i>WHY</i> do people do something as irrational as that? What's the <i>point</i> of invading a well-constructed world with something like that?
But then it struck me. In fact <i>I</i> had thought like that too, once. When I was about <b>ten years old</b> or so. So! A sudden illumination came upon me! Yes, if I viewed the stupid mods from the point of view of a ten year old, it suddendly all made sense! This is precisely the kind of "What if the Hulk fought Darth Vader" stuff that I talked about when I was a kid. ;)
The only question remains... who actually <i>does</i> these mods? A lot of them seem rather complex and I don't think actual ten-year olds would have the patience to finish them, or even get halfway through...
Still, I feel happier now. ;) Another inexplicable stupidity explained. ;)

Hmm...thats true, and sure the hulk would charge in all rushing and green but after he gets a burn on his finger from the lightsaber he would just be sitting there sucking his thumb.
Oh btw, people like me (16 years old) make those mods for little kiddies for a challenge. Though I have never made a mod like that, closest I have done is a dual wield which means the extra weapon affects your attacking and blocking effectiveness based on your skill with the second weapon.

I had a good idea for a mod, but I never did it. Like a training room, where you could set the difficulty (1-10), with different levelled creatures at each. And nothing crappy either, 10 should be a challenge for people level 60. Then maybe a hidden difficulty where something like 20 werewolves appear, heh ;)
And Darth's lightsaber will hurt the Hulk, but I don't think it'll be anything more than cutting yourself with a knife or something. He'd go, "Arrgh" and then Smash Darth's face in. Anyway, Darth has asthma (well, not really, but you know.) Once he sees the Hulk, he'll start hyperventilating, heh.

After that Darth Vader would have his way with the hulk in ways unimaginable.
