Not that I doubt that many predators sought refuge inside the church but after 2006 any amoral fuckwit could easily dream up a repressed sexual encounter with a priest for a slice of that cha-ching!

Well, if you read the court documents for both cases they never did actually prove anything. The DA in charge of the case had a vendetta against Michael Jackson. But, even though he was declared innocent it still ruined him. Well, ruined him more (you can only do so much skin bleaching). I'm not defending the Catholic Church but you have to wonder how many of those cases are just to cash in on the "priest molested my child" paranoia.
