As a jazz musician i would say thats a great tune but it contains a certain acerbic tone to it. Definitley not one of the high points of all in jazz. But then again jazz is an incredibly subjective medium. Carry on.

But who'd want to spend ages watching aerial shots of some vehicles from a helicopter traveling the route? Apparently I would. I was hooked.
Me too Aged Raver - I was also hooked, rather moved and couldn't take my eyes away. From the crowds in unexpected places, the quiet applauding to lone observers in the sticks nodding graciously as she passed by on that final farewell. And then there were the contrasting celebrations and pomp for the new king.
Anyway, everything you said following your comment above - I couldn't have said it better :)

I suppose I should feel something about this.
A 96-year-old human died, which is not so unexpected for a 96-year-old human.
Difficult to feel sad about someone having lived a very long life.
Glad I'm not in the UK and am not being bombarded with loads of performative grief.
I feel like the monarchy is a bit of a fusty thing to keep going, and is certainly pretty backwards-facing in terms of its overall concept (divine appointment / inherited positions).
While immediately after the queen's death is probably not the best time to approach the topic, I'd like to think that during Charles's reign, the conversation could begin.
Drop all titles. Return all land and historic buildings to the state in exchange for a generous stipend. Open up the palace and Balmoral, etc. to tourism.
On another note, how weird it must be to be getting a new, and quite high profile job at the age of 73.

...About normal for the last couple U.S. presidents...

That got me interested in looking ahead. Possible timeline, including age they took the throne and year reign:
King Charles III (2022 - 2044) took the throne aged 73, died aged 95, 22 year reign.
King William V (2044 - 2088) took the throne aged 62, died aged 106, 44 year reign.
King George VI (2088 - Year X) took the throne aged 75, didn't die. Becomes first Immortal king of England until death by accident or misadventure.
In the long run, i think people will associate the idea of there being a Queen with the 20th century. Sure, they'll acknowledge that she didn't actually die right away in 2001, but people won't associate the queen with this century at all.
In a few years it's going to be depressing when there are kids who go "there was a queen? when?". The 21st century is definitely going to be associated as an "age of kings" no matter how odd that sounds to us right now.

Age discrimination in the workplace? Not if you are royalty....

This is pretty pathetic but then gets humorous:

It is pathetic so see protesters getting arrested and assaulted. Just in case you needed a reminder that you're a subject, not a citizen.

No, I'm definitely a British citizen. A British subject is something else entirely under our nationality laws.

Was that a cop that pulled him back or his dad?
