Why am I reading this thread, why? Some kind of grim curiosity keeps drawing me back in. :shudder: Happily, if I can't sleep tonight, it won't matter, as my last exam is this afternoon. w00t

Huntsman spiders, like in the photo, are very long-legged with a coppery fur. Fortunately they're harmless.
As for your mystery spider, it is an offence to reason. Destroy it, with fire and sword if need be.

My Mom is a hippie and I was raised to believe that having spiders around was very good luck and that I should never kill them.
Having said all that, I think you should beat that creepy purple face hugger with a stick that is on fire! Your description gave me the screaming meemies!

Can you take a picture of it with a digicam and upload it somewhere?
Despite common myths, there are actually very few "deadly" spiders in the world. Even the dangerous ones like the Sydney Funnel-Web spider (Atrax Robustus) have antivenin available and have been responsible for relatively few deaths (like 13 or something).

I like this game.
EDIT: Use a red or pink color spray can. In case she walks away proving her nature defying abomination you can find her easier lateron.

I am never leaving England. No big spiders in England. England safe. England good.
