I did a search for this but couldn't find one here. This story concerns a race of AI who want to take over Earth. I haven't read it myself.

(http://www.drwhoguide.com/who_ma11.htm) This page says the book was released in 1995. According to Wikipedia, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_shock) System Shock was released in 1994. I haven't looked into it further than that. I'm bored now.
