After searching everywhere in the troll mines for the second note in the treasure hunt, (including under the rocks where it should be), I looked at a walkthrough. It even had a little map. However, I see no note under any of the rocks. I believe I am having a clipping problem; many items have disappeared into the ground for me, and in several places I have been able to slip through the walls (walk around the perimeter of the Water Clan's place, hugging the wall).
I have heard the only a corner of the note shows, but I cannot see anything. Can someone show me a screenshot?

I can't give you a screenshot (I've borrowed Arx to a friend), but I think I recall where the note is (although it might not help you any further).
Do you remember the room where Greu's friend is before the troll strike is solved? I think that the room had a table or two and several pickaxes. I found the note under one of the rocky blocks there. You have to move it a bit.
I never did find the next one, though.
