A black, competent, and above anything else, British actor like say Idris Elba, (who played (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stringer_Bell) Stringer Bell in The Wire could pull off a black James Bond. The script would need to be very tight though.

There would need to be;

* No token "hey, Bond is black and educated, lets throw a few unnecessary scenes with bigots which don't contribute anything to the story, pacing or character development" white liberal guilt

* DEFINITELY no "Everyone knows Bond is a sass talking homey from the streets of the ghetto down with his fellow niggahs and shit, aiight!? Fuck da po-lice!" bullshit.

Diddy is incredibly deluded and idiotic if he thinks that he has what it takes to be a black James Bond.
