What they don't say is how much tea you need to drink to inhibit the anthrax in actual people. I like tea, I generally drink two cups in the morning; but I really doubt it's effectiveness against anthrax in vivo.
They also had an article about rosemary in bread dough greatly reducing the acrylamide formation from baking. I like rosemary, I even like it in bread; but rosemary and peanut butter would not be a good sandwich combo. Great for garlic bread though.
I do wonder how people pick these things to research.

So that's why English cows don't get anthrax.

In the United States, we safeguard against anthrax by feeding our cows with a careful and steady diet only of other cows. Provided that no single cow has eaten anthrax, the health of cow and consumer alike is safeguarded, and the system works flawlessly!
Unless the cows somehow get mad cow disease, that is. But, really, how likely is that?
I liked how the article ended with a little dig at the Boston Tea Party, though. "If only you Americans had hung on to those tea leaves for some two hundred years, that anthrax mailing scare would have worried no one!"

The research also shows that the addition of
whole milk to a standard cup of tea completely inhibited its antibacterial activity against anthrax.
I guess your theory is wrong Tocky. ;)
