I'd like to listen to 1989 to see what all the fuss is about, but it isn't on Spotify (or Tidal).
Turn on the radio. Seems like it's all they play, lol. (Disclaimer: May not apply in Finland.) Hyperbole aside, I like
1989, being a fan of both Taylor Swift and the eighties music scene. I still think
Fearless was better, though.

I think she gets a fair bit of radioplay here. I know I've heard "Love Story" on there, tho I've barely listened to the radio for at least 3-4 years.

This thread has broken my sarcasm detector. I didn't even know that guy made music.

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is one of my all-time faves.
I would seriously challenge anyone to name a better top-40 album from the past 20 years. And I'm not really big on most of his other stuff.

Meh, over producing a song like it's a space shuttle launch and micromanaging every picosecond of it is not my bag of mushroom. Plus he seems to be completely sincere about the revolutionary powers of pop culture and what he's saying? Zappa was invented as an antidote to exactly this, but I don't know who is carrying that torch now.

Kanye who? Is he related to that shit stone that disrespected McCartney? Yes, I know that answer… Still… Kanye. The ultimate in clown, yet not funny. Even the French seem to find him tedious. His 15 minutes were up 15 years ago. Next?

Easy even in the rap genre for the past 5 - both of Kendrick Lamar's major label records.
Kanye is a fantastic producer but a terrible rapper. This album continues that trend - some great beats that would've been better off in the hands of someone who didn't want to stuff the album with embarrassing one-liners and pseudogospel singing heavily treated with Autotune EFX.
For example, I would love a song like 'So Appalled' if the lyrics weren't basically wealth porn. A great beat with a somewhat obscure sample, plus guest spots by a ton of talented rappers - but the choice of subject material tanked its chances.

Huh, I always kinda thought "I'm Appalled" was anti-wealth porn.

Those are my favourite parts, personally.

My favourite parts of MDTF are the music and the bits where someone else apart from Kanye raps.
