(

That's the kind of placeholder page that ends up staying put for a loooong time. :)
For Thief & SS2 I just used the website design that's used for the other media pages.
For SS1 I tried to stay retro and keep the same feel as the old system shock sites.
I liked the graphics for the old Terra Nova jukebox page, so I kept 'em, minus the scrolling & background image.
I had fun creating the Underworld pages this morning... UW1 is of course based on the map... UW2's is using artwork from the manual. Also tried to get away from using the cliche Ultima fonts. Since I doubt these will be growing any time soon (ya never know) I went ahead and made the page closes ended.
The Arx music page hasn't changed since I put it up. I didn't really see a need to change it... what it is works for three files. :P
So... what's next? Here's a hint...
<img src=http://www.digital-nightfall.com/musiccollect.gif>
Now... I can't put ALL of those up for download. I've been asked not to put the Morrowind stuff up, but Daggerfall is a go (midis, but really good midis...) ... I think the Interplay stuff is fair game, but that's a hell of alot of work to index. Anything (like Longest Journey or Outcast or Eve Online) that's already officially online, I'll just like to the site. I am NOT putting Blizzard stuff in the jukebox (love the music, but I don't think it'd be kosher) nor anything from Raven or the HalfLife music. I emailed Monolith about their music, and they said "cool that you're interested, but ya gotta ask Vivendi..." Uhm, well at least they replied. Anox, Alice, Deus Ex, Crusader, and U9 stuff is definitely going up. (And I ripped the Anox stuff out of the game myself, even mixed it a little bit, so it’s sort of like an exclusive… :)
Oh, and I'd like to thank Zerker and Ignatios for helping me get some of these soundtracks.

Great! :D

Cool.
Something to consider, though: if you have graphics disabled or for some other reason they won't download, the colors of fonts vs. backgrounds in both of the Ultima Underworld sections make it unreadable. Or if your font size is larger than the standard, the text will overflow and merge into the background. :erg:
Can't wait for the next music files, though! Anox, here I come!

Cradle ambients :thumb:
Anyway, definetly put some of the IPLY stuff online, as those are nowadays rather hard to find. Oh, yeah.

I listen to midi's through Winamp. Am I hearing them properly? Is there a plugin I can get to sub in the proper sounds? You know, like drums and violins or whatever? Or is it suppose to be beeps and synth sounds? This is mainly about the SS1 midi's.
Digital Nightfall on 19/4/2005 at 04:58
Funny thing about midis is that they actually sounded better on pre-Live soundcards... best one I had was the AWE64... and of course there were cards designed for MIDI alone which were much better than that. Chances are you're hearing them about as well as you're gonna.
Compare them to the old chicajo mixes of the midis to see how close you're getting to what they should sound like.

The Flash version of chicajo has a couple of songs that sound fantastic. Unfortunately I can't download files with an MP3 extension, so I'm sort of stuck with the original MIDI versions.

I see Alice on the top of that list... :ebil:
One of my Top 10 Games of All Time right there... of course, I played it during the spring break I had my wisdom teeth pulled, and was high on painkillers the whole time... but I think it would stand up on it's own! :sly:
So, did you just rip the music from the game, like I did? Or is this the Official But Not Found Anywhere Soundtrack by Chris Vrenna?

So, will you post a ZIP file of all the T3 sounds any time soon? How much space does the collection take up?

What is this Thief 2 credits mp3? :wot: I had heard that un-UK releases had music playing among the credits, but I never would have thought...is this a remix or something?
