I'm not popular at all, I never get any. :(
Their 2FA by email annoys me, though. The emails take anywhere from no time to ten minutes to arrive. Trying the Android app 2FA now, will see how that goes.

Gotta say, Ashen for $14 does seem tempting.
Also, am I missing something or are those pre-order prices really cheap? VtmB:Bloodlines 2 for $14, Control for $19, Phoenix Point for $9? Guess I figured at least the first two would be full-priced AAA titles, but rather they seem to have budget-pricing, and on top of that a huge sale-discount.
edit: I am missing something. When I check out the website Control is listed at $50. The cheaper prices are only in the desktop app. Tried buying Control for $19 but it told me I need to make the purchase in my own country. Loged in on the website, checked my settings, and my country is listed as Malaysia. Errr... what.
edit2: I remember now that I changed my password for Epic Store at some point because of some shady shit like this. Yeah, no, I'm not spending any money in this store.

Sounds like someone got into your account and changed the country. I did get (bi-)weekly messages from Epic (or quite possibly phishing emails) about people trying to get into my account during the fall while Fortnite was turning into a juggernaut. This was before they launched their store and my account was only really created so I could mess around with UE4.

I wouldn't blame you for trying to buy Control at that price. I ain't gonna say how much it is in my local currency, but it's enough to make me feel bad about breaking my pre-purchase rules and my feelings about supporting devs properly. I'll make it up to them later; for now, chancing upon a little serendipity is a nice enough thing that I don't need to boot it off a bridge.

Is that Finlandian dollars or something? I picked it up this morning for 20 bucks US.

Read the rest of the post. Malaysian dollars. :/

Oh right, my bad. Damn those...Malaysians...
I will say Epic giving $10 off every game above 15 bucks is nice. And the free game per week is pretty sweet too. I have to admit, I'll be checking the store more and more often now (just what they wanted, I know).
On the flip side, I was a bit surprised how few games they are offering at the moment. And about 20% of what's listed says "Coming Soon" or "Pre-order Now!"

I prefer having all my games in one place, so Steam will still be my preference. That said, the free games I'll always go for.
The EA on the house stuff for Origin I absolutely loved while that was still on. That gave some damn fine games away. Gave me a reason to actually use Origin later on, as they'd often be bug fixed and made to work with modern systems.

This sale makes it painfully obvious how bad the storefront is, though.
How can I even find what's for sale short of scrolling through pages of large images? Why can't I filter out pre-purchases and coming-soons?
Also, now Bloodlines has disappeared from the page entirely. I was just idly going to check how much it is here after Henke mentioned it, and it's simply not there any more.
Edit: apparently because the publisher removed it intentionally because it was "too cheap" in some regions during the sale.
And they're not the only ones, a few other games are gone too.
