Why am I so stupid... ?
I think you are not. This mod offers a really good experience and i really like it, however it has quite a few things that i would like to criticize. Notably one mission and the overall level design. The levels are usually too wide for the 'content' they have, so they feel a bit empty and waste in the same time and it makes navigation harder for the first time. Navigation isn't helped with obvious signs neither and that could make the things worse, but it didn't caused a problem for me. (I think there is only one level i really liked so far, and it's way too few for me [usually even the worst games have one or two level i like], but i didn't finished both sides yet, so it could change... so i'm shutting up now.)
Probably, this post is too negative so far, so i feel i should say some positive words (because i love this mod)... Well, beside the aboves there are a lot remarkable things that make the overall picture bright like the sun, like the music and even the story after all (i was really alienated by this meta-forum thing for the first time, but i got used to it faster than i tought i would and it turned out to be really entertaining).

I'm such a 'tard! I've just started the game, and just spent christ knows how long trying to stumble across the corporate district, not realising that's where the train would take me. I'd assumed it was all smaller sections in the one map, and I thought I had to go to the corporate district and settle all my business there first before even approaching the train.
Jonas commented elsewhere that one of the benefits of doing something that doesn't need to make money is that you can expect the best of your players. So when they say go to another district, and they say, "Here's the deal: To leave this district, you have to use the subway," they can feel free to assume that you will put the two together and realize that getting to the other district meant using the subway.
Commercial games tend to assume the worst of their players, which means they design with the lowest common denominator in mind. Unless you are the lowest common denominator (which I doubt you are) you should be able to play most games without paying that much attention. The Nameless Mod expects more of you than that.

Which is why I love Deus Ex and TNM because it isn't just like turn on and tune out. It makes you feel like you're doing something worthwhile as it can be challenging like a good book or movie or album.

The 1.02 patch is turning out to be way more crash-prone than the 1.01 patch. First I got a crash to desktop when launching the ABI shuttle. Had to restart the level to fix that one. Now I'm stuck on the GS bridge. Trying to take the elevator to any of the other decks causes an instant CTD. Bugger.

So far so good for me with 1.02 although I skipped 1.01. Anyway they're still patching away. Also if you use a save game from 1.01 loaded into 1.02 then it will cause bugs.

Well obviously I have the common sense not to try that. I only installed 1.02 after finishing my PDX run and before starting my WorldCorp run.

Does it give you an error message? Actually, given the error messages are usually spectacularly unhelpful, check the log file (which is just 'normally unhelpful'). :erg:

Nope, no error dialogs. At the points where the level load message normally appears, the screen fills with multicolored hash for a split-second, then I'm dumped back to the desktop.

No bugs so far. I got up to running around in Scara's Worldcorp building, messing things up on behalf of PDX. Had a few good laughs so far: "your other left, Trestkon" at the beginning, "no, it will not clean the floor by itself. this is not fantasia" for the brooms and "in the secret basement levels, which definitely don't exist" in the PSA on the public machines in WorldCorp stand out particularly.

Best joke so far i thought was the stealth helicopter taking a minute to ascend and you can just see in the corner -Escape to continue-
