Wishful thinking, I know.
I would like to go dressed up as Gunther. I don't imagine that the leg plates and arm plates would be too tough to create in some fashion, and I can surely shave my head and lightly stain it blue somehow (LOL)
And anyway, I'd really just like to go around grunting and threatening to waste people when my skul-gun gets installed :p

my options:
* Put on a dress and say to everyone, "Take care of you real good - special price."
* Another dress, "Thanks fer gettin' me in!"
* Dress like JC, prolly.

I'd stand outside dumbfounded, wearing a stupified expression and saying things like, "I can't believe someone greenlighted another movie about a video game."
I'd be accompanied by such props as a list of all the things they could have done with the money instead.
I'd also bring big lobby posters from such movie classics as "Super Mario Brothers," "Final Fantasy," "Mortal Kombat: Annihilation," and "Street Fighter: The Movie."
Call me a big cranky crank if you will, but I just cannot believe that they will end up spending millions of dollars (it's almost impossible to make a movie for less than $1 million, all things considered) on another game-to-movie, when there are literally hundreds of interesting, challenging scripts lying around producers' offices, not getting made.

I'd probably pretend not to know a thing about the movie, and then amaze my friends by telling them exactly what happens every 5 minutes or so... ;)
BTW Zaphod, if there is one game that deserves to be made into a movie it's DX. As long as it's half as good as the game itself, it will rock! :thumb:

They almost never are. Super Mario Brothers was one of the best gaming experiences you could ever hope to have, and some of the most fun I've ever had, period. Good times. And the movie would have been AMAZING if it was even half as good as the game.
It wasn't.
None of them are.
It's tough to write a screenplay for something that by it's nature is already scripted without 1) rehashing the plot or 2) making up a whole new plot. Neither one of those ever makes for a very interesting movie. I'll reserve judgement on this one, but I've never heard of the screenwriter (Greg Pruss). As for the producer, Laura Ziskin has an amazing track record (Murphy's Romance, No Way Out, D.O.A., To Die For), but I'm still wary. It will all hinge on the screenplay.

Of all the games to movies conversions that have been done, I think Wing Commander was the only game that really really lent itself to it. And they fucked it up. Big time.

the deus ex universe has a lot of potential ... for both goodness and suck.
let's hope it has goodness and not suck.

Ide just go as my normal self. Only the most die hard Deus Ex fans would do otherwise. Arm all of a sudden thinks of the nerds who were camping out to see Star Wars Episode 1.

Eh, you people won't even know I'm there among you watching the film. And don't be surprised if a few of the guards by the front door start convulsing and drop to the floor. :ebil:
