CHRISTMAS IS COMING! \o/
I do like Christmas on the whole, but I must admit that the advertisments and the saaaaame old songs
every year bore me somewhat.
But this year one thing has irked me one year too many - bollocks gimmicky presents that have been wheeled out and put on display especially for Xmas. Now I can forgive real gadgety stuff, like things from the Gadget Shop or those "tv/vcr/dvd remote blockers" and whatnot, it's the 100% redundant yet-you-know-some-poor-sap's-gonna-get-one things that make me  .
Anyway, my nomination for the most pointless present that I wouldn't ever ever never want is Jamie Oliver's Flavour Shaker: (
http://www.flavourshaker.co.uk/range/)
"
The Flavour Shaker is a really fun way to add great flavour to your food. It's quick. It's fresh. It's easy. This is going to transform your everyday meals into something fantastic give it a go!" - Jamie Oliver
I ask you - what can this do that I can't with everyday kitchen implements? Nothing. Face it Jamie, people will use it once or twice and then put it in the back of the cupboard forevermore. I know you don't care and this is just fueling jewels for Jules but shut up shut up.
So, seen anything useless on sale?

I think my wife already has one of those 'flavor shaker' things, but oddly, it's always in the bedroom, not the kitchen.

I'd have to say that anything that sings (bass, gophers, Elvises, Santas, whatevers) is pretty pointless, especially when given to an adult. Amusing sometimes, but pointless.

Ronco, or anything by them come to mind. How about the pocket fisherman, or the handy dandy, Dial-O-Matic, Veg-O-Matic, or the Mince-O-Matic.

Anything from the Chindogu books like 101 Unuseless Japanese Inventionsand 99 More Unuseless Japanese Inventions.

Why get something practical when you can get a portable garden or a clothes line for the car.
