I've made a list of my favorite spells and enchantments and sewed all your eyes open so you have to look at them.
enchantments...
NOTE: Do NOT shoot the bow at a creature or human. shoot it close to them or in the middle of a croud.
1. Any bow, Cast when strikes, Open 100 pts within 20 ft.
2. any bow, cast when strikes, fire damage 0-50 pts, within like... 60 ft.
3. any bow, cast when strikes, light 30 pts, within 10 ft.
4. any bow, cast when strikes, rally humanoid 20 pts, within as many ft as possible!
5. Exquisit amulet/ring, Constant effect, summon scamp.
6. another ring, constant effect, water walking. ( I like it much better than constant levitating, unless you are fighting some magical ashlanders... then constant levitate is KICK ASS!!!!!! )
7. Any weapon, Cast when strikes, Soultrap for 5 sec.
Spells...
1. Ability, Night eye, 20 pts
2. Calm Humanoid and decinigrate armor at the same time works well to take their armor.
3. ability, Spell absorbtion, as many points as possible
4. Reflect ability as many points as possible.
My charecter in a high elven mage, level 8, I have 1969273 gp, azuras star and I'm more powerful than tuco could ever even want to be.
ya, bye.

Erm.
Though Tuco is known to brag, he didn't lie - Tuco is a level 100 Battlemage. That means he can use magic and weapons. It also means he has roughly 100 times more health than your character has, heh.

The best spell I made was a 100-100 fire damage in 100 feet. It kills stuff. You don't even have to aim properly, though you ought to fire away enough so you don't kill yourself in the process. The downside of it is that it costs 50-some mana and a high destruction skill, 'cuz it's no fun to waste 50 mps for naught.
Also. Don't make items giving you more than 50pts Nighteye. It kills the pretty lighting effects.

I had 100pts of X damage for 10 seconds in 50 feet (cause you can't make 100 in game). What was more fun was some spells with 100 disintergrate armour or weapon for 5 seconds, unfortunatly it only affects 1 piece of armour each time you cast it so you need to cast it a few times before you can get the Hlaalu gaurds running around in their pants.

Find hilly regions. Cast Levitate on target at least 100 points for twenty seconds or so and watch them fall to their deaths when the spell wears off. Hilaaaarious!
RyushiBlade on 14/9/2005 at 01:28
Any reason why it has to be in a hilly region?

Fun to see the AI fall from cliff edges after the spell wears off - it'll work anywhere though

I favor my Drain Blood (Drain Health) spell when I'm locked in a tough battle against a human--haven't tested it on the tougher creatures found in the ruins. 25 magic points to cast, so not too bad--especially when combined with a spell absorption potion. Then you can keep casting it for multiple opponents. Don't have the specifics, but it's obviously a drain health target spell. So, really pretty self-explanitory. The target just drops on the spot without so much as calling out. Once finished off an Ordinator this way when I was fighting for my life. (Rendoran Treaury at Vivice--last one there and I was low on everything from the multiple attacks). Much less of a headache (literally) this way.
I also have cure blight disease, common disease and poison ammulets. Those are great for fixing such nuisances and don't weigh much. Saves those magic points. Wonder if casting them counts towards spell experience? Anyone know? I'll have to pay attention next time I play. I found a Vampire ring that's kind of neat, but it only has enough charge to be used once. The Levitation ammulet given by the wizard mage at Tel Vos (for discussing trade goods with an Ashlander tribe) is helpful--has a lot of charge and levitates for longer than the Dwemer boots. I think I'll shelve them in my personal museum for Dwemer artifacts.
But most of all, I have found that mixing your own potions is best because they eventually weigh nothing (0) and the heath, levitation and light ones last a really long time. I haven't had great luck with dispel yet--only up to 9% at this time. Though that's better than the 10% you can buy that weighs more. Still working on a better reflect potion too. Spell absorption is great though. Gotta love getting back those magic points.
I have found most--if not all of the Summon creature spells. I haven't used the Summon Hunger yet though. Have used the Summon Golden Saint spell and she did nothing but stand there as those Ordinators were attacking me. Had to be really careful not to hit her least she join in on the fray. Though come to think of it, maybe that would have been good, because one of the Ordinators might have struck her and turned her attack. Hmmm. Don't know. Plus, don't know if she just stood there because she's fickle that way or if it was who I was fighting. I'll have to experiment with that. Gotta be careful with Summon Ancesteral Ghost, I've had a few of them turn on me. It wasn't dangerous at my level, just annoying. They really aren't worth it anyway.
Mark, Recall and Open Sesame are must have's. I have another open spell...Odesi's Open something that I use alot. Though I'm pretty handy with a lock pick and carry a few at all times with the probes.
I haven't got the knack for spellmaking yet--other than my Drain Blood. It seems that the ones I want are impossible to cast...while similar ones for sale are possible. So it must be something I'm doing when setting it all up...
That's pretty much it for me. Love my Indoril armor. Though I wish I hadn't taken the curiass because most of the time, if I so much as look at an Ordinator, I get attacked. It's like a Borg thing. Even if I leave the curiass in my room, and not on me, they KNOW I took it. I've tried glass, but it doesn't seem to work as well. Probably because medium armor works best for Bretons. I'll keep trying to get the light armor level up to 100 and see what happens. I'm already at 100 for medium. Don't know if I can level on beyond that. It's an experiment of sorts.
Love hearing what others find helpful.

Yep. It'll raise your enchant skill, if you're casting from an enchanted item.
