The garden, specifically the tunnels under it.

I forgot about that section. Such a nasty little area :o
Aside from that I guess Cargo Bays is about it.

Yeah, Cargo Bays can never be forgotten. It is a silent horror ))
But also I must admit the Rec level as a whole when you realize that you lack one single number of the code to the Transmission device and now have to go through entire level repeatedly looking at those Art Terminals everywhere fighting hybrids and assassins in the disguisting organics and worms with dead bodies everywhere. It's not that annoying for me but actually scary...

Whichever deck had the tram scared the hell out of me.

Really? That area does have some fairly challenging combat, but it's almost entirely devoid of the design tricks used to evoke fear. It's fairly linear, has large open spaces, and is well-lit.

Maybe it was the spiders?
In that regards that spider trap in Ops was fucking scary the first time :erm: I'd say Ops and Eng, Eng particularly for being so early in the game.
Agreed with D'Arcy on the Beta Grove. It's one of the nastiest place I've ever played through, second only to the Return to the Haunted Cathedral in Thief in my book.

SS1- level 3 (all those invisible mutants and sec-2 bots :\... they are annoyin)
SS2- Hydroponics (sector whit the rifle.. dont remember now... it was ages ago :P)

Hydroponics Deck . This was the first deck we were encountered with midwives , eggs and their creepy sounds .
Especially Hydroponics Deck A ( sector whit the rifle ;) ) and Deck D ( Bodies everywhere , blood and bullet halls all over the walls and Korenchkin's frightening audio log ! ) too much dreadful for me !

It was the spiders more than anything. I hate those. Nothing aside from them really scared me.
Scariest moment in SS1 was stepping out of the elevator onto Deck 3 and panicking / dying 3 times before I could find out wtf was killing me.
Da9L on 6/10/2008 at 17:38
The most scary moment for me in SS2 most be the Garden of Deck 5.. The moment when you hear a lady screaming, combined with the background music/sound and then the midwives shortly after scared the hell out of me.. !
