That picture of the Loa Loa worm, I turned away so fast, it made me cringe, and shudder.
I know we've discussed our pets before in the past, people have shown pictures of their snakes, dogs, cats of course. Has anyone ever had a really exotic pet before? If so, what was it? I've had a tarantula, thats as far as I go. Fascinating spider, fun to watch.

You freaks may be interested in hearing that a new t.v. series on parasitic infections called "Monster Inside Me" is starting this week on Animal Planet (if you get the channel). Apparently they don't skimp on the horrors of having hostile things growing inside of you.
On the other hand...

The series also offers tips for avoiding the parasites, but they’re distressingly vague and hard to follow: don’t be bitten by insects; don’t drink water; don’t let your children pick things off the ground and put them in their mouths. Like so many docu-reality shows, it leaves you with the notion that the safest thing to do is just to stay on the couch.

Eye-WORM! E-Y-E-W-O-R-M Gnaaaahhhh! VBj34h iobhi b4fk  :eww: :o :(
Now I have found the ultimate reason why I should NEVER(!) travel to africa. Or to any other fucking jungle. No thanks, I love my eyeballs, I still need them and they will not be a warm cosy home for crappy worms.
